My friends, the BMP-1 is one of those famous modern vehicles that saw action all around the world. From a modeller’s perspective, it’s a very interesting subject because of the wide variety of paint schemes, different types and intensities of weathering, but also, in recent history, pretty wild field modifications.
The Trumpeter kit is a simple one, and it’s fairly cheap. When it was a new release, I built one quickly out of the box. But this vehicle is so much fun that I had to build it again, 13 years later.

Disclaimer: I have a good relationship with a handful of modelling brands and stores, namely VMS, Michigan Toy Soldier Company, RT-Diorama and AK-Interactive. As such, I’m happy to use their products/services, and show them in my work. In return, they support my efforts in this hobby, although my hands are not bound nor am I obligated to push one brand or the other. This was one of the founding ideas of the channel and I will always stand by this.

Still surprised some vendor hasn't reached out about Night Shift branded welding tools and making the classic soda can tool an official piece of kit. Love the build!
Please make a video about upgrading plastic model figures, for example by replacing the original head or adding photo-etched military insignia and details to improve realism and accuracy.
Thank you .cooi.
что за клей вы используете для металлических деталей ?
25:44 You'll have to take a second wife and go on another honeymoon.
Been a fan since 2021. Congrats on the marriage!
Hey the Nightshift! How do you clean the brush you use for hull texturing? Thanks for what you do.
I'm at college and your video makes me wish I brought a kit with me! It's so much fun to weld, I saw your tool and made one out of a teeny tiny brass pipe that I cut at an angle. works like a charm
I really wish you could put it next to your puma model and see how they compare
Pěkná práce 👍👍
Great work, i love the “C” shaped tool, i ended up using a small brush Ferrell. Great to hear from you!
I picked up a bmp3 with extra armor from trumpeter, i havnt touched yet, but maybe when i do eventually get to it, ill probably be watching this again or another model build of bmp's to keep me entertained while im building it.
My friends, this. Is perfection.
Uncle Night Shift! 💜
you know this is not about level of detail… is more about level of sickness … ?
18:38 I think it looks beautiful
what is the black glue are you using?
1:05 Who has to go?
Yeah he's my uncle ain't he badass?
The shit I see in MTS
Congratulations on the marriage NS.
How many times did you say according to my detailed references😭
It's Ukraine BMP ?
making model is really hard. making good YouTube video is really hard. making good YouTube video about making model is extremely hard!! i thank you sir ❤
Wow the level of detail you put into this model is mind blowing. Thanks for sharing!
Hello. Please, make BMP-2 from trumpeter with slat armour. The BMP-1 is very cool!
I need new sharp tweezers. Which ones do you use ? My favorite pair has been on the floor one time too may and are not very straight anymore. Also any advice on how to get the mojo back ? I’m in a bit of a rut and no subject is really catching my interest as of late but I don’t want to give up on the hobby
Amazing attention to detail 👏
Glueing on collord surfaces …..!?
This was a really fun build to watch. I look forwards to the painting video.
BTW, I probably would recommend 3d printing yourself a jig to make long strips of the concrete support mesh. I think having very consistent wire spacing, from using the jig, would make them more accurate as well as take less time to produce. Cheers!
fantastic job! Martin, could you, please, pay attention to the disassembling of all of tiny and fragile constructions for painting in the next video?
Man, these bird cage sections are something from highest league! So accurate!!!
U beam….is actually called C channel….sorry I'm an Ironworker..lol
Man the amount of work is mindblowing.. that insane , congratulation !
Какая же обалденная работа. Лайк поставился сразу сам по себе.
9:51 the cable typically is a pressure sensor to alert the vehicle commander the drivers hatch is open because it can be hazardous when moving the turret
Did the wire around the turret even do anything in reality?
I feel like everything comming from the top would have destroyed the vehicle anyway. While firing from the side at it people probably would aim dead center.
You have a lot of skill! I really enjoyed this video.
I thought you were building a real bmp😅
My god what a good video. Awesome work sir, can't wait to see it painted and banged up!
Just absolutley awsome.
