Fascinating how pseudoscience is so relaxing. I learned recently that it's partially on purpose. Homeopathy sellers (even from the origin of it) spend a lot of time talking to clients and creating a relationship whereas doctors often don't have a lot of time for individual patients. That more intimate relationship then leads to feeling more relaxed and comfortable with the salesman than the doctor
