The streamer shown isn't actually the friend who went to the 2011 audition with Taehyung. It’s actually an AfreecaTV streamer from a 2015 clip who went to school with V and later issued a public apology for his comments. The real friend from the audition has always kept his identity private and hasn't spoken out publicly.

I think his friend was lashing out from embarassment and his pride being hurt. He probably felt like he could've been the next big star and that he deserved it so when it didn't happen, he was really mad. He probably even went around saying "oh I didn't even wanna be in that company" and stuff like that. ^^; V has the best friends around him now and the most amazing group as his band mates so he's definitely where he was born to be. <3

There are dozens of companies and auditions our there in kpop, even back in 2011.

As a formally trained amateur artist, who has performed in numerous local venues, including two local festivals along with two national tours in big venues. I'm not surprise at the toxic jealousy coming from the kid in the video toward his friend, who has finally made a name for himself. In reality, the higher you climb the more skill that you need to acquire to perform. Often times, those with potential are very lazy and refuse to work at it have the nastiest personalities and show their true colors.
Lazy people like the kid in the video are the most vocal with toxic, vile worthless commentaries who often lose out on opportunities, due to jealousy and pettiness. As an amateur artist, I have run into the same issues with ego driven karaoke/ open mic quality voices always struggling with pitch, dynamics, control and intonation, who believe that they have a god given talent and just too lazy to work at it. Untrained people with raw potential and far too much ego, who play at singing, often expecting endless praise, while never working at developing any real skills.
In reality, an artist can have all the talent in the world, but if they never develop their skills then door will never open for them. A person can have all of the plastic surgery in the world, meet all of the physical requirements to fit the look that a producer is looking for and never be selected. Looks are only a very small part, of what makes an artist, any artist. The kid in the video was given a chance that most talented Korean kids never get and he blew it. Because he refused to practice, including showing his dedication. In reality, had he done what he was supposed to, he never would have been eliminated, in the first place. The only person that he should be mad at is himself and no one else, for not working toward his goal.
