I've heard COUNTLESS stories about BOA screwing customers. And Chase. And Wells Fargo.
Sounds like Cox needs to Officially Close her Bank of America account as well.
Don’t ever use Zelle. If you absolutely need to use it to accept customer payments, connect it to a saving acct and empty everything to the saving acct regularly. They can’t steal if there is no money there.
And people ask me why I use 10 different institutions to keep my money. This is why.
This needs a deeper and investigation to see if it’s Zelle or BOA Both accounts need to be closed immediately and resolve her issue.
It’s BoA NEVER FORGET THAT UNEMPLOYMENT FRAUD DURING COVID
It says to me not to do business with Bank of America. I've seen several of these news stories and they all include Bank of America and Fraudulent activity that they won't back out of a person's account. You are not responsible for fraudulent activity made on your account. The best thing anyone can do is not do business with the banks that put you in this position and will not make you whole after fraud has occurred on your account.
I was notified by WF that they wouldn't be responsible for Zelle transactions because it is a third party. This was a few years ago. I deleted the app and the link to my acct and don't use it. I believe all the banks have adopted this policy.
The 'expert' added nothing to the conversation.
She would have gotten the same answer no matter who she banked with. This is because zelle fraud is rampant and is easy for fraudulent acct set ups. I lost $5000 in 2022. So in b of a's mind she authorized those transactions. Same happed at Citi with me.
I think she should ask help from her phone service carrier to install privacy protection software. Maybe they could even help to track down the number that made the fraudulent transactions. For sure is someone inside the bank or Zelle, 🤷🏻♀️
The fact that she had to call the news and STILL didn't get her money back… that's it! No more Zelle
Normalizing “nothing you can do about it. Case closed “
thos is how rogue AI works
Happened to me with Chase. Leaked information from a data breach cause them to sign into my PayPal which is connect to my bank account (not anymore) so they were able to send themselves $1K. Chase easily gave me money back but PayPal had 0 customer support.
Small business owners fault for banking with Bank of America to begin with! No sympathy, sorry
20 years in business and 2000 hurt her business to where she has to borrow the money a regular job sounds better for 20 years
She needs to address the IDENTITY THEFT. Even if she gets a refund from BoA, the problem is not going to magically go away.
Shouldn't take 20 years to learn not to use certain banks. No mention of the obvious fact that her identity has been hacked?
I don’t know why anyone would use Zelle. When it was first being (heavily) promoted by the banks, I noticed that it didn’t have the protections of Venmo. It’s like saying that Disney Dollars is better than cash, and people believed it.
Cybersecurity expert guy literally restated the obvious.
B of A knew they screwed up and owe that money. Take them to court.
Banks will not nor have they ever that I know of when it comes to the zelle
I stopped using zelle years ago after several strangers would reach out to me claiming they wanted refunds for accidentally sending me funds. Too sketchy
using zelle is almost the same as using cash… no protection from banks, local authorities nor federal laws.
some insist on using zelle to circumvent paying tax (same as cash); playing with fire.
Take your money OUT of Bank of America!
Stop banking with that Bank and that goes for everyone seeing this video. Close your accounts.
2k is not allot to be on the news 😮💨
Could be someone in her own home grabbed her phone and added the Zelle payee when she wasn't looking.
100% inside job at the bank.
Mike gonzalez and rodica ghinea committing welfare fraud rodica ghinea can not ask for child support and recieve welfare fraud
Transactions…not transitions….. fired
Shame on BofA.
Worst bank ever!
Bank Of America don't care, they just another corrupt organization.
Don’t use Zelle. Problem solved.
Which actress is she reminding anyone of? Like almost identical, but I cannot place the name.
Almost always the bank will send you a text or email notifying you that your info has changed. Not sure why it didn't happen in this case. Inside job ? But why her ?
I was told my mo. Opened a bank account in my name without any permission i asked and now she is a victim looking for accountability and transparency and arrest 2026 the bank closed and moved out of town Nevada county truckee California California state capital Sacramento shout out to Sierra storm wheelchair rugby team Sacramento florin rd Sacramento:) driving to el capitan California
1. Her "device" was hacked to set up the Zelle link, or she did it herself with the recipient.
2. As this was a business account, it doesn't have the same protections as a consumer account. That is all in her account agreement.
3. As a business, never use a P2P service like Zelle. Standard ACH pmts from customers is the way to go. And always review your account online daily. Businesses typi ally have only 2 days to report unauthorized transactions for a return or reimbursement.
