Pats need a new QB
I had hoped for a stronger game from Seattle but with the injury to Darnold its not surprising that game changed dramatically for them. That being said good job by the Seattle defense for playing tough and getting the win despite giving up 10 points to the Pats. It will be interesting to see how much effect the Super Bowl loss hangover has on the Pats as the rest of season plays out. Pats may be lucky to get 1 win over next 3 weeks given the tough first 4 weeks they have.
They have the Steelers at home then face Jaguars in Jacksonville, then have their first of two division matchups with the Bills in Buffalo. Now I may be wrong and perhaps the Pats might win at least 2 of their first 4 games. It will depend a lot on strong the Steelers, Jaguars, and Bills teams are or aren’t this year. Again there is also the Super Bowl loss hangover and it’s affect on the Pats as well. Next few weeks and the rest of season in general should be interesting and fun to watch.

What I saw was typical Week One Rust on both sides. Without your starting QB, You Cannot make the mistakes Seattle did. They were very fortunate to have the opportunity to win after all the mistakes they made, especially late in the game. Multiple times they allowed the Play Clock to get way to low before getting to the line. Still have to give Lock credit for stepping up. Patriots Still don't have anyone that defenses fear. They get those Sneaky plays in here and there, like a draw for 20 yards on third and forever, but They've been doing that since Bledsoe was there. Nothing new. They did have Seattle over pursuing on delayed handoffs and RPO's, but again, nothing new from the Patriots. Maye's decision making obviously cost them the game. Sometimes you just have to take what's there instead of being the Hero. One the road, late in the game, take the tie and go to Overtime. I understand his thinking in that moment, because Hollis steps on the field every so often and makes a couple plays. Maye put a lot of trust in him at that moment. Still, It's Week One, No team wins or loses the Super Bowl in Week One.

Go easy on Drake Maye. He is talented player, but still young. I don’t think he will make this kind of mistake again. I know the pain, because I’m a Seahawks fan feel awful when Russell Wilson throw the ball to his receiver and Malcom Butler intercepted it at the end zone and the Patriots won that SB 😊

What people are forgetting is Drew lock used to be a starting quarterback and he's a very good one too !!! And the seahawks defense and offense looked unstoppable !!!

I didn’t turn off the game when it was 10-3 past 3rd quarter.. I knew hawks D was stronger as game progressed..I was hoping , then came the interceptions.. Pats D got better, Hawks D was better overall especially in 4th period!!
