China’s Fifth-Generation Fighter Production Exploding | J-20 Production Surging

China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation has more than doubled J-20 production efficiency using autonomous vehicles and AI-driven dark factories. With roughly 300 J-20s in service today and output estimated at 100-120 airframes annually, the PLAAF could field over 1,000 fifth-generation fighters by 2030. Today we discuss what that production capacity means, how it compares to F-35 output, and whether quantity changes the calculus regardless of quality.

  1. China has a lot of automated production practices for the J-20. The US companies for the F-35 has worker strikes because those guys need to be paid like a neurosurgeon to live off their doughnuts

  2. No need to worry. We Chinese all know USA is #1, India #2, China #4 after Russia. China probably has 200 J-20 and they are bad. Nothing to worry about!

  3. I think with the beyond vision fight, J20 is just a carrier for PL-21 which claimed 400km range. No need the dog fight so no need the quality even they might be good. They just need to be reload very fast and shoot.

  4. China is slowly cutting off supply lines to US MIC. China has caught up outpaced America in many technology. Can America catch up with China in Quantity is a quality?

  5. Quantity is a quality of its own—but that's just the appetizer. Chinese AESA radars and jamming systems are already spoiling the F-35's day, and their AI-assisted targeting essentially treats stealth as a polite request rather than a hard rule. On paper—and yes, paper matters until proven otherwise—Chinese radars boast superior range to their American counterparts

  6. In fact, China is using its production capacity and strength to prevent a direct conflict with the United States. When China has 1,000 stealth fighters, there will be virtually no possibility of air combat between China and the United States.

  7. Lei in Lei’s Real talk has suggested that extreme falsification of test results throughout the Chinese aircraft and radar industries may hide a J20 less stealthy than though. That is, the J20 may have flaws in stealth that cannot be detected by the Chinese most advanced radar, and, in turn, radar tested by ability to detect the J20 may be less capable than thought. Lei analyzes and explains the inner workings of the CCP and Chinese defense industries in far greater detail than anyone else I can find on the net.

  8. Probably quantity over quality, with many not combat-rated or sitting due to malfunctions. They cannot possibly build high quality at the preset rate but maybe quantity wins? And they have no combat experience nor enough pilots so far. They may be over their skis, which we will never be(hind).

  9. Let them hope they don't start exploding … and could they even keep that many aircraft in the air during combat? That's the big question, there's no peer-review/competition to vet the tech, sustainability, reliability and battle-field-effectiveness

  10. China is not going to invade the US, they are preparing to keep the US at bay if they ever need to use force on Taiwan. The US will be fighting China in waters which, for some odd reason, have the words "China Sea" in their name.
