Five in the morning, the clocks went back, and your little one wants breakfast. You got an extra hour. So why didn’t they?
There are two clocks in your house. The wall clock takes ten seconds to change by hand. The master clock in the brain, a tiny group of nerve cells, doesn’t read numbers. It mostly listens to light, so it catches up slowly. For most people that takes a few days, sometimes a couple of weeks.
Keeping that very early hour dim and getting outside later in the day can help.
How long the shift takes varies from person to person, and most of the research is on adults. This video is for general knowledge, not medical advice.
