Could a Bullet Orbit the Moon and Hit You?

Fire a gun on the Moon: with no air, nothing slows the bullet down. Could it fly all the way around and hit you in the back?
To circle the Moon you need about 1.7 km/s. A rifle bullet does about 1 km/s and falls short; the fastest tank rounds (~1.75 km/s) just clear that line and would come back around in about 2 hours.
