The video store manager was quite inventive in advertising the video the way he did; there was no hoax. Everyone will die *eventually*. They just won’t know the exact moment. Perhaps years or decades after having watched and likely forgotten.
17:59 That last dialogue has raised new doubts for me.
Around 17:41, when the couple were looking at plushies, was that eagle figure meant to move as part of the store's toy exhibit? It slowly turned towards the couple and cameraman.
At 10:07 timestamp, they showcase the tape and the fourth picture is actually missing. But when you look at the end of this video, it's there.

If the curse is a sentient entity, like some theories suggest, maybe seeing four photographs instead of three is a sign that the curse has spared you. I can't tell if the fourth portrait is anyone else notable in the series, but perhaps he has a protective role?

Please forgive me I don't understand the last part… So the deceased person photo got reduced from 4 to 3? Doesn't that mean a good thing? Or is that like a soul exchange between the soul (photo) trapped inside the video and the watcher (director & photographer guy)?
