Don’t Be Mad… 5 Toxic Vegetables Dr. Gundry Thinks You Should Stop Eating Now!

Dr. Gundry reveals 5 vegetables in your kitchen right now that are destroying your gut—and you have no idea. But the good news? Some of them can be saved if you know the right way to prepare them.

For decades, you’ve been told to eat your vegetables. The problem is, many of the vegetables we’re eating today weren’t part of our ancestors’ diet until 500 years ago. Your gut never evolved to handle them. They contain lectins and defensive proteins designed by plants to keep you from eating them. Some of these vegetables spike your blood sugar faster than table sugar, contain poison designed to kill insects, and create microscopic holes in your gut lining.

But Dr. Gundry doesn’t just tell you to avoid them—he shows you exactly how to prepare the ones that CAN be saved. Peel and deseed tomatoes like an Italian nonna. Char, peel, and deseed peppers the way Southwest American Indians did. Pressure cook your potatoes, or use a cook-chill-reheat method to create resistant starches. Learn which vegetables are beyond saving, and which ones are safe if you know the techniques.

  1. NO I should not stop eating these vegetables! You can prevent unwanted digestive reactions or natural plant compounds (like solanine or lectins) in these vegetables by peeling, de-seeding, and cooking them thoroughly. I did this, also before watching this video, that I find a bit "click baithy"!

  2. I am 89 Mexican American , been eating tomatoes , chiles red ,green and what have you for decades with no problems not only me but the rest of my family also have had no problems in the past or the present as far as stomach problems. The only problem i ever had was when i was helping my grandmother at age 12 peel, chiles to make salsa habanero and accidentally i rub my eye and my grand ma quickly put a slice of tomato over my eye it stop hurting and also works for those that never eaten chile and get it in their mouth by accident. I also have guacamole and chile rellenos chile beans in my restaurant menue no problem. Thank you,Don Pedro.

  3. Strange opinion! Plants do want fruit to be eaten and travel with the poop to colonize new areas! Plants dont want to be eaten themselves! Plants are luring animals to eat the fruit by putting suger into the fruit!

  4. Okay so the nightshade family of plants which is mostly fruit like everyone that they mentioned. They are not veggies. These all contain elements that can clean the body from vaccine compounds and snake venoms. They can also restore our site and help restore gut bacteria.

So I'm wondering why this doctor is deliberately lying in this video about them. How much is he getting paid off to do so?

If there is an investigator out there that can get to the truth, please share that. Expose the guy as a fraud.

  5. A scientist secretly took a dump on Surtsey volcanic island, Iceland, then the tomato that he had eaten had a seed in the dump and that fruit plant wanted to grow in the year 1969 and so it did….so how can one say tomatoes don't want to be eaten?

  6. Sorry, but this Doctor” is full of crap right up to his eyeballs. My grandmother ate all those things most every day. She was a farmer, and she lived to 94 years old. In fact, most everybody in my family ate all of this stuff and they’ve all lived long lives so don’t believe this crap. It’s a bunch of lies just to get clicks.

  7. Tomatos and bell peppers toxic ? eggplant ? green beans ?
Jesus … no wonder why the world is going fat .

Those are vegtibles rich with vitamines , minerals and only risky at high amounts.
    It's too stupid .. sorry

  8. There goes most of my food . . . great, thanks Dr. Gundry. I'm 74 and I don't plan to stop now. So I lasted quite a while, I'll take my chances. I just got back from the grocery store. I bought, among other things, bell peppers, jalapenos, potatoes, cucumbers and peas. Perfect!

  9. Nevertheless, tomatoes are high in lycopene, a carotenoid compound that researchers have found beneficial to men's prostate health. Tomatoes and tomato products, especially those that are cooked, are the best natural sources of this compound. We must always weigh the benefits versus the detriments in making choices. Furthermore, excessive consumption of anything, even water, can be deleterious to one's well-being.

  10. If the plant doesn't want to be eaten, why doesn't it produce a more potent toxin? Instead, am I supposed to discover—after years or months of consuming tons of these vegetables—that I now have holes in my intestinal barrier and therefore shouldn't eat tomatoes anymore? Is that supposed to be the plant's defense mechanism? 😂

  11. What's so utterly confusing these days…especially for a Brit like me listening to American nutritional health "champs"…is all the totally conflicting advice coming from equally articulate, convincing Doctors, Nutritionists, book authors, supplements salesmen etc etc. One lot say "Eat the rainbow" and another lot shout "All plants are trying to kill you!" My head's been spinning for years…and I'm sure I'm not the only one !

  12. This stupid quack is so full of crap, it must run out of his nose when he bends over to tie his shoes.
Any real nutritionist knows that tomatoes, eggplants and peppers are NOT vegetables…They are really berries which are classified as fruits.
Berry definition; "Grows from a flower: It develops from the ovary of the flowering plant and holds seeds inside."This sugar–phobic nut job just makes this stuff up as he goes along and he has no way to back up anything he says.

  13. Thank you so much. My friend just took his 80 yo Mom for dinner. I was mortified to see her drinking Coke Classic, and she is fighting a lung infection.

How does one educate the UN-educatable? (Ya new word for these troubling times 🙌🏻 Luv ya Dr. G 🙏🏻🌸

  14. I follow most of your suggestions but I really enjoy zucchini sautéed with seeded peppers, carrots, mushrooms and peeled tomatoes. Other than that I eat like you. Thanks for helping to keep this Sicilian girl healthy at 72. 😃✌️

  15. Are you telling the Mexicans don't eat pepper and tomatoes?? Goodbye Salsa? It's pretty much their ENTIRE diet. No disrespect to the Doc but this one is hard to swallow…
