This is not a fake experiment, in school I did this with four differerent sodas, a water control, and an acetic acid extreme.
Cola absolutely ravaged the egg shell worse than the vinegar, it does directly correlate to calcium degredation by acid.
No, it does not happen in 24 hours, no it does not result in a "squishy toy", but yes the acid in cola definitely eats away at eggshell at a surprising rate.
Do it for a week, tell me how it turns out.
Show the real science, show your real evidence, take notes and log daily differences, dont show this cheap half assed rebuttal to some stupid squishy egg toy shit.
Follow through to the end if you are going to tackle the idea.
If you are going to debunk something, do it right, and do it educationally, not just a common rebuttal like this.
You look like an A-hole if you rebuke elementary school science tests without even following the scientific method yourself.

lol, I love this experiment, cause even after the shell dissolved that inner lining still protects the egg. But it definitely won't be stretchy like the first one.
