Here is a quick shorts tutorial on how to remove scratches from a PlayStation or Xbox game disc. It will remove light scratches or keep the disc from having errors, but it will not help with deep scratches or gouges.

Well, I had a game stipping at 11.91 out of 11.92gb (for playability and update to engage) —- cleaned with toothpaste trick, did the system reset for clearing cache — REALLY polished with microfiber cloth (inside to outside swipes) — the first few times, were the pause/remive disc/restart, got ~0.005gb more each go — I then kept telling it to continue, pause it, restart (random microfiber wipes mixed in), several times over 2-3hrs (learned new guitar riffs in meantime) – stuck just before playability the whole time — FINALLY broke through and is copying how it should. Persistence and patience.

This youtuber is one of the biggest morons ever, it makes sense why you would use toothpaste on old PS discs. But, using it on PS4 or PS5 discs is stupid because they're made of ultra-thin, hard protective coating which make the toothpaste ruin the disc.
