각자의 자리에서 빛나던 두 청춘이 마침내 하나의 빛으로 모였다. 신인 보이 그룹 FLARE U (플레어 유)가 가요계에 전격 데뷔했다.
플레어 유는 서바이벌 프로그램을 통해 실력과 잠재력을 인정받은 최립우와 강우진으로 구성된 듀오다. 팀명 플레어 유는 두 개의 반짝임이 만나 하나의 빛을 이루는 순간을 의미한다. 각자의 색과 온도를 가진 두 사람이 함께할 때 더 선명하게 빛나며, 그 빛은 U(You), 즉, 팬과 함께할 때 가장 완전해진다.
또한 ‘U’는 팬을 의미하는 You를 비롯해 Universe(함께 만들어가는 세계), Unity(하나가 되는 순간), Unique(각자의 개성) 등의 의미를 내포하며, 아티스트와 팬이 서로의 에너지가 되어 하나의 세계를 만들어 간다는 뜻을 담고 있다.
플레어 유의 데뷔 앨범 ‘YOUTH ERROR’는 틀리고 넘어지고 서로 다른 오류를 지닌 두 청춘의 기록을 담은 앨범이다. 마음처럼 풀리지 않는 날들과 끝없는 선택들 속에서 두 사람은 수많은 시행착오를 겪고, 마침내 같은 방향을 바라보게 된다. 플레어 유의 미니 1집 ‘YOUTH ERROR’는 두 청춘이 한 팀으로 만나 서로를 보완하며 하나의 빛을 만들어가는 과정을 그려 낸다.
Two young souls who once shined in their own places have finally come together as one light. Rookie boy group FLARE U has officially made its debut in the music scene.
FLARE U is a duo consisting of Choi Lipwoo and Kang Woojin, who gained recognition for their talent and potential through a survival program. The group name FLARE U symbolizes the moment when two separate sparks come together to form a single light. Each member carries their own color and warmth, but when they stand together, they shine even brighter — and that light becomes complete when shared with U (You), their fans.
The “U” in FLARE U also represents meanings such as You (the fans), Universe (the world they build together), Unity (the moment of becoming one), and Unique (each individual’s distinct personality). It reflects the idea that the artists and their fans become each other’s energy, creating a shared universe together.
FLARE U’s debut album, YOUTH ERROR, captures the story of two young people, each carrying their own flaws, mistakes, and imperfections. Amid days that never go as planned and endless choices, the two go through countless trials and errors before finally finding themselves looking toward the same direction. Through their first mini album YOUTH ERROR, FLARE U portrays the journey of two youths meeting as one team, complementing each other, and ultimately creating a single light together.

플레어 유(FLARE U) MV 보고 나왔더니 충격받았어. 강우진이 2025년 리얼리티에서 조작·특혜 스캔들에 연루됐던 그 연습생이랑 같은 사람이라는 걸 알고 말이야. 🤯 시스템이 어떻게 돌아가는지 너무 답답해. 프로그램에서는 관객 감동시키려고 그의 과거에 대한 가짜 서사까지 만들어냈는데, 실제로는 뒤에서 엄청나게 보호받고 있었잖아. 이런 속임수를 대중은 금방 잊어버리고, 진짜 재능 있는 다른 연습생들은 기회조차 없이 탈락한 걸 보면 정말 불만스러워. 노래는 잘 부르는데, 비하인드에서 있었던 일을 알고 나면 이 MV 속 ‘순진한 소년’ 이미지가 전혀 안 먹혀.
