Shades of the Shield with the way the Triad was swarming with offense and Page directing traffic.
The Jersey Triad are really underrated overall. Their summer series against Benny, Deano, and Saturn is tremendous.
The Big Gold Belt will never not look AWESOME on everybody.
The red and yellow HulkAMania run here in WCW felt so desperate and tone deaf, even in real time. It was interesting for about one full week but ultimately landed like a dud.
It was just a case of wrong place and time. Context matters. Circumstance matters. WCW just wasn't the right atmosphere for it, especially in 1999.
It just lended more credence to the idea that WCW was out of touch and outdated. Nothing about it felt cool anymore.
Thankfully none of this carried over or followed Hulk to the Fed, where his eventual HulkAMania nostalgia run felt HUGE and appropriately embraced by the fans.
