idk if i just have massive hands or something, but i was able to produce a clean note before the video ended. only other chords i know are D and A and i’m not great with them. surprised myself like crazy
Playing the G chord wrong on If you want blood. Watch Malcolm. Might as well play it the same as him on his guitar.
@1:00 – if any Americans are finding this shape hard… just act like you are flipping someone off, and grab the neck of the guitar.
It's literally the same shape, just angled to reach.

The G Chord is very tricky especially with your fingers
i find the G chord so easy, to the point that I'm genuinely taken aback that people struggle with it. D and C chords on the other hand feel literally impossible for me.

I swear the hardest cord for me is the c chord. I can never get my finger placement good enougj so that my index doesnt brush against the bottom string, or push down hard enough with my ring to stop the bussing sound
If basic chords are made up of the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes in the scale….why are you playing a G chord with 2 Gs? Instead of G,B,D? I’m confused

I'm trying to master this G chord, but my ring finger is always straight on the bottom E string. Also, when i switch to the G, my fingers don't all change at the same time.
What are these issues & how can i correct them please?

Purchased my own guitar 2 Christmas's ago. Allllllllll my life I have lived and enjoyed the guitar. Allllllll my life wanted to learn to play. Allllll my life have played the BEST air guitar. Sooo finally bought me one. I wrote many songs(lyrics).. now learning to put chords to them
At least that version works. Thanks a lot. Had one trying to teach me grabbing it with second, third and fourth finger instead of first, second and third. Now that is challenging…

Not being able to manage the G is why I quit lessons in 7th grade.
Me: move my second finger
My brain: Third finger
Me: No second finger
My brain: THIRD FINGER

Is it just me that thinks my hand is too small for this?🥲🤣
Am I the only one who, when plucking the strings individually, the low E sounds almost like a low twang?
In other words, it's not a crisp & clear sound like Justin demonstrates.

My third finger is simply not long enough
everytime i press on the e string at the third fret (by it self) it always buzzes but when i dont press the e string sounds normal, is that supposed to be like that?
The beginner guitar journey is really diverse. Some people as I have read struggled with the D and C Chord but found G easy. D and C came to me perfectly in a day while G chord is trying to make me break my joints lol

The G chord is the only one I have a problem with as i damaged my third finger when I was younger so my finger buckles and ends up straight when I try to press down on the low E string if that makes sense.
My ring finger jets up is that normal?

Is there no other way to do it?
The G-chord have 4 quite common ways to be played. Like this with finger 1,2 and 3 (which i don't recommend if you are ambitious), with 4 fingers (much used in bluesgrass, for instance), as a barré chord, and with finger 2, 3 and 4. If you have ambitions on your instrument, I suggest to rather start with the finger 2, 3 and 4 version, and skip the way it is teached in this video, because it will then be much better in combination with C, E-minor, Gsus4, G7, Gmaj 7, and the C/G chord (and in fact a lot more) I actually mean that the G-chord should not be teached like in this video at all…

So do you strum all the strings when your fingers are all in place
I'm wondering if there are others who play the G chord like me. Same strings and fret but with the ring finger on the 3rd fret of the low E string, index on the 2nd fret of the A string and pinky on the high E string. It was a cheaty way for teenage me to be able to play able to play "About a girl" by Nirvana, as this made it easier to go from chords E to G. Ring and index finger on the 2nd fret of the A and D string for the E chord, lifting up the index and then using the pinky and ring fingers to get the G chord.
