Here's a potential example of AI (SI now) affecting our lifestyle:
Suppose power plants are managed by SI for maximum efficiency of the grid. During a high demand heat wave in the summer, SI decides to implement rolling brownouts rather than bring supplemental power plants online, and does so indiscriminately. This could have adverse affects, especially if hospitals and nursing homes are in the brownout zones. If the SI has a primary objective to protect resources or maximize profits, the availability of electricity could be severely curtailed at a time when human life could be at risk.

The problem with AI is not promoting a second opinion with regard to medical issues. Because people will use AI without talking to a real MD. Another is that it's like hiring a geek to do your term paper or your homework. There are videos that look real, with people who were never there. AI models that can write a paper that can give them a B instead of an A on purpose to make it appear legitimate resulting in a passing grade. Letting a car self drive is different from allowing a machine to make decisions about war. A self driving taxi drove right into a police takedown. After the incident the company had to make adjustments to the software. Hacking should be the number one threat. Because anything can be hacked.
