I don’t think anyone with an ounce of common sense would look at the EU right now and think we should rejoin. The EU is a mess, it’s doing worse than we are, while France is on the verge of financial collapse and likely need to be bailed out (by the member states of the EU) and is on fire, Germany is flatlining, there is civil unrest, and the region is politically polarising, our elites need stop romanticising the idealistic vision of the EU that does not exist, and throw themselves whole heartedly in to making us strong, secure and confident again. We do not need foreign unelected bureaucrats to dictate how we run our nation & if these politicians think we do they need to hand office over to someone more competent

That Remainer has his facts totally wrong. We did not get a vote to join the EEC! Heath took us in despite most not wanting it.
We did have a vote to stay in the EEC and a lot of people voted to remain because we had burned our bridges with the Commonwealth etc.
When the EEC now called the EC morphed into the EU (which is a far far worse and less democratic beast than even the EC) we DID NOT get a vote. He ought to get his facts straight before giving us the benefit of his "wisdom".
Remain politicians lied about delivering brexit to get into power, then did everything to frustrate the process and make it fail. Despite that the eu is currently in flames, and exonomically doing far worse than the uk. This is anti democratic and criminal behaviour.
