How does a borewell pump work? It does not suck. Air pushes the water, and about ten meters is as far as air can push, so deep pumps sit at the bottom and push.
Why can’t a bigger motor help? Even a perfect vacuum lifts water only about 10.3 m at sea level. Deep-well pumps stack little fans in a row, each one pushing the water higher.
