Personally, I really like your videos when you incorporate phonetics into them. Thanks for sharing your videos 🎉🎉🎉
I'm an English teacher. I've been recommending your videos to my students for about 4 years, but this was the first time I'd watched one all the way through with a student. Guessing the words without sounds was a challenge for both of us – not surprising, since, as hearing people, we use our ears to distinguish sounds, without thinking about it. Perhaps this video could be valuable to someone who's learning to lipread?
I can't lift the back of the tongue to the soft palate. How do you do that?
太难了,母语者小时候也是这么学的吗
Es muy fácil 😂
Ñaaa
Do you mean that when pronouncing n sound, the tip or the tongue touches the front teeth?
thank you for great video for [n] and [ŋ]
Miss Rachel in Ng
My tounge must touching my lower front teeth or not ?
Nice class. Thanks !
Hi Rachel! Did you notice that when n is before “k” or “g” (velar plosives) the sound is always /ŋ/, that is also velar?
absolutely surprising! you are so unique, Teacher
Perfect mastery of sounds articulation, great job. To all pronunciation lovers here wish you the best of the best. The tongue is powerful
amazing video.
great exercise for N [n] and NG [ŋ].
I really love your videos. They helped me alot and I'm really thankful for that. I wanted to ask a question and I think it is relatable to this lesson, maybe. I've got problem with pronouncing "ignore". Cause I heard someone said that this word has to be pronounced like /ɪŋnɔːr/. But the one that I had learned is /ɪɡˈnɔːr/. I'm so confused. Could you please answer this?
Thank you, Rachel. I've always wanted to watch this video.
great video, thank you.
Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much
God bless you
Hey Rachel..unfortunetely YOUTUBE just removed the possibility to add transcriptions in other languages, that's awful!!! i felt like I lost my amazing job =(

Is there difference to be sounded "how's it going" and "how's it goin' "?
Hello, Rachel. I like your videos very much, and have learned a lot from them. Now I have a question about the pronunciation of n, especially when a word there is z after n, for example the word chimpanzee, there is a zi: pronunciation after n, when I pronounce this word, it's difficult. I wonder if you could show me how to pronounce it. Thank you very much and looking forward to hearing from you.
thank you very much ,this is really helpful.
Do you have whats app ?
Hurray! I do understand the difference in n and ng sounds. Thank you a lot.
sound the same
Love you Rachel.. You are so great 😘😘😘😍😘😘👌👍👌👍
Excellent
I feel like I'm learning how to read lips and pernounce things at the same time! I hope there are more like this!!! °^°
(I'm a native English speaker, by the way, but I still find these quite entertaining!)
The pronunciation is very hard for me. I watched a lot of videos on youtube but the teachers just talked about the sound and didn't talk about the mouth position and the tongue so much. But everything was clear after i had watched your videos. Thank you so much indeed. hello from Vietnam
I hope this doesn't offend you. Purely commercial opinion, love your teaching Rachel, however, if you put a bit more make up on while filming it. Your subscribers will double.
Wow.
What you do is just AMAZING!! Seriously, you're the best. It's SO CLEAR to understand and see the differences! I'm glad we have you and your unique way to teach.
(By the way, I love your natural looking. This seems to reflect on the way you teach and that's why it's so easy and natural to connect with you and to understand you.
You deserve the best.
Thank you!
