  1. Justin thank you for this, you just allowed me to TRY to play one of my favourite songs by Bruce Springsteen – Tougher than the rest. Now if you could do the play along like you did with Bill Withers and Ain't No Sunshine, you would make my month !

  2. Thank you so much for this! G and I have a tumultuous relationship – sometimes it will cooperate and sometimes it won't. (The one I'm being taught is 4 fingers, not 3, as well…which has NOT been easy.) It's incredibly frustrating! This G is so much easier and sounds fantastic! 😊

  3. I didn't have problems with g chord until wrist pain… Then I realized I had to change all my chords positions because of a bad posture of my hand, and suddenly g became so difficult! Can't wait to try this new way of playing it, looks much easier! Thanks!

  4. Wtf lol this is the shortcut i figured out on my own because I didn't like shifting so much while playing songs like about a girl with only 2 chords

Although I played it with thumb on 6th string and middle finger on bottom string

  5. Yes, me trying to play traditional I just started guitar and I found that I had to quit during practice sessions because the small knuckle inside my pinky began to have sharp pain. So thank you.

  6. I just started learning guitar. 3-4 weeks ago and g chord was so hard especially with my short fat fingers. Just tried this and it sounds the same and so easy. Thank you

  7. In music school I was taught to press the thinnest string with my little finger when I play the G chord. And I also use ring finger on the 6th (the thickest string) and middle finger on the fifth string. It's quite easy. And it is really easy to change it to C.

  8. i found another wat to play G chord first use the triditional method but instead of having the 3rd finger by it self replace it with the 4th finger and put the 3rd finger a string higher in the same thret i like how it sounds let me know what you think

  9. When im watching this video, the Iran and Israel are in a war. While im watching this video I can hear the Israel's rockts. And it is scary, i hope some day in the future people could live in the Peace.
I love playing guitar and I hope i could live enough to learn how to play guitar like a pro.♥️

  10. I'm thinking of learning the 3 fingered version of g chord with fingers 2,3 and four. I have seen youtubers use it and looks easier to change chords.

  11. The traditional chord has two B tones which makes it sound muddy. Multiple tonics (1-hat, G here) and dominants (5-hat, D here) sound good, but multiple mediants (3-hat, B here) is generally bad

  12. OMG bro. 2-finger G. So easy to mute the 5th string, and I'm just starting to learn to mute stuff. Seems like it should be easy to plunk down that index finger on the 5th string, but no actually, I have to twist my wrist in an ouchy direction to do it. This is my new G from here on in. The B missing from the 5th string is right there on the open 2nd.

Except maybe going from C to G and back. Play G with middle, ring and pinky. I'm sure you'll show us that later.
