I love my Legion Go S, Z1 Extreme, 32Ram, 1TB, Steam for 600$
I went the same route, my dude. I also bought an open box special from Best buy in excellent condition for $425, and it has been nothing but flawless for me!
I wanted the x but I got the ally and ao far im happy with everything but the color

I bought mine recently for 600 euros in second hand it's amazing
I got mine for $650 in great condition
Got my XAX open box from Best buy for $850. Plus I had about $50 in Best Buy gift certificates. Then sold my Ally X Z1E on eBay for $650 on eBay (meaning I cleared about $525 after eBay fees and shipping) and would have never known it was it used except the listing said so. It's my daily driver now. Xbox mode is finally getting decent, I only have to tweak settings rarely, and even sleep/wake are working better. My Switch 2 is now for 1st party Nintendo IP. Everything else is my XAX.
For every game are you using armoury crate settings? – I am looing for most console experience where I just boot the game and play without having the need to tweak the settings

I’ve owned the XBOX Ally X for about 8 months now, and it is an amazing handheld.
At first I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of setting things up for games.
After looking at tutorials on YouTube on how to improve my experience I’ve never looked back, it is an awesome device to play on the Go, I play with it everyday and it’s amazing

I just got into handheld gaming. The Xbox Ally X acting is a fantastic starter console. I hate to use the word console. I'm new to this.
If you really know how to use these devices you can do crazy things. But it requires one way or another the use of enhancements. If buy this go to Xbox mode & just launch the game then no it’s not worth it. If you activate upscaling, super sampling, frame gen, image sharpening, then yeah. The ultimate is that you can active both an upscaling and a frame generator from inside of the lossless scaling app. If you really want to generate insane performance you gotta install SteamOS & then thru SteamOS, run lossless scaling. Mind boggling results.
Funny enough, if you really how to use portable PCs then the Xbox Ally X comes off as excessive & unnecessary. But if you don’t know how to use it, that’s an awful lot of horsepower going to waste.
I always liked my xbox ally but i find myself not using it as much because it is a little held back by its power is it worth it to upgrade from Rog xbox ally to x for preformence
I recommend using Losseless Scaling in adaptive mode to 90 or 120 fps for games that get 30-50 fps
