If (and I stress that word strongly) our soldiers need to answer for alleged actions in Northern Ireland, then we should not forget who sent them – the government sent them, on behalf of the crown. As we saw in Nuremberg, it wasn't only the man with his finger on the trigger who was brought to account but those who ran the country. If it's only now, some fifty years, later these soldiers are being brought to account, that means the subsequent governments have sat about doing nothing about these alleged crimes which makes them just as 'guilty'. The fact is it is all Woke nonsense. Leave our veterans alone.
I used to love the UK. I moved here from the USA 20 years ago to work, then retire. As a comedian said, I now live in Pakistan but I never moved. For the record, I've spent the last 20yrs working with a crippling disease until this may when I can no longer do it, and when I needed help the govt done everything possible to deny me help, worked all my life paying into the system. I'm over 1yr waiting for pip tribunal and no support in sight.
