the quickest team building section of all time and it somewhat saddens me. but i do understand it. the team itsefl had to be made quick and this is more of a proof of concept video. still great.

This mega is great I love it. It’s so strong even without any investment into its stats, I love making it bulky plus adding screens with Grimmsnarl. He’s also great at answering Charizard Y, a trade for a mega lowkey can work
Man this Mega makes me irrationally angry. Get it off my screen, I wish Mega X was better because imo it looks way better and embodies Raichu (my favourite Pokemon) more accurately than what Mega Raichu Y does… It just becomes Pikachu again.. 😡😡 what did they do to my boy!?
I love the way to verbalize your thought process for each turn. makes it a lot more interesting as someone who isnt that knowledgeable on all the details of vgc and the meta.

Hey, with Raichu Y How Would You deal With trick Room Teams.
Love this team, been using it since this vid dropped. Have been doing well overall but been struggling against Farig trick room teams that have either Kanga and/or Torkoal. Any advice on how to break through that core?

Went 13 and 0 in Masterball
Mode 1 (Gengeyehold)
Sableye will first use gravity having prankster to move first.
With gravity boosting accuracy Gengar will then hypnotize any Pokémon but preferably one that’s more of a threat.
Turn 2
Gengar will hypnotize the second Pokémon while Sableye Poltergeist the Pokémon that first got put to sleep since it’s the one that will most likely wake up first.
Turn 3
If both opponents are asleep Gengar will then use Hex to hit a sleeping Pokémon doubling Hex since sleep is a status condition. Sableye will attack as well (if a Pokémon is awake put him to sleep instead of attacking with Gengar)
If one of these Pokémon die early then switch in Maushold. Under gravity Population bomb hits 10 times every time and with kings rock item held it almost guarantees a flinch. (If there’s two opposing ghosts use shadow claw)
Mode 2
Turn one
Malamar having the speed it has with quick claw most of the time it will go first. So first move is skill swap with Golurk.
This will give Golurk contrary and Malamar No guard.
Golurk having contrary its first move will be headlong rush boosting its defense and special defense off the bat instead of lowering it. Use this move even if it says not that effective for the sake of raising defense.
Golurks other moves will raise its speed so you make your judgement on that.
Turn 2
Malamar now having No guard will make hypnosis 100 accurate so put them mons to sleep. If you see an opponent try to raise its stats use the move topsy turvy to invert all its stat boosts. Then rockslide for chip damage of course.
Let’s say Golurk dies before malar dies and you swap in Mr rime then on Mr rimes first turn use roleplay to copy no guard from Malamar and use sheer cold on turn two.
If Malamar dies first and swap in Mr rime then use fake out or if you swap in sable eye use disable or encore.

This is the first comp battle I've watched in a long while and I've really rediscovered why I love competitive pokemon so much. I don't think I'm ever going to be very good at it (love gimmicks + bad at predictions + bad at memorizing all the sets) but I had so much fun watching you test this team out!

Why are the Y megas so much better than the X megas? Yeah it’s a small sample size but Charizard Y is S tier, mewtwo Y is better than X, and Raichu Y is 1000x better than Raichu X. What gives?
