  1. the literal most expensive item in the consumer category is usually going to be some kind luxury fashion statement, you're paying for apple build design in your kitchen. a high performance restaurant equivalent would probably be a more reasonable comparison.

  2. Re: Cheap coffee makers being better, they almost always are because the mechanism it takes to make it work is so stupidly simple and cheap, and is a lot more consistent for creating the brew temp necessary. Expensive ones always overcomplicate what they don’t need to.

  3. I liked the video, but it's not really the right test, maybe? In most of these categories (i.e. non stick pan, cast iron pan) — a cheaper pan, but not the cheapest would probably beat the expensive pan. So, a $15 might not beat the $300 pan — but the $40 pan would. And the pepper grinder? I have a $22 pepper grinder where you can adjust the coarseness, fill it easily, and it cranks out a lot of pepper. I doubt the $200 version is better than mine. Your conclusion of the video is spot on — just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's better. Great video.

  4. This video reinforced my choices. Toaster, use toaster oven. Coffee, get an Aeropress or mocha pot and have better coffee overall. Pizza in the oven is better but don't use a stone, get a pizza steel for better crust. Air Fryer, Ninja Crispi has taken over from my Instant Pot air fryer lid and way better results. Ankarsrum for a mixer, best I've ever used as my Kitchen-Aid's kept needing to be repaired. I go to the Asian market and buy knives there and very inexpensive. Unicorn pepper mill. Ditch cast iron and go for wrought iron, all the benefit and none of the downside except price. Not commenting on things I don't use.

  5. Zojuroshi is a good product even their insulated thermos the heat retention is amazing stay the same till the end of the day unlike other brand the heat temp goes down as the day end unit becomes room temperature

  6. Where are you finding these brand product for air fryer why you didn’t use the cheap ones with ninja or cuisinart brand, for mixer why you didn’t compare it with KitchenAid’s. Breville is a good -reduction expensive but worth it even their food processor is amazing and they last long just like the Vitamix blender

  7. When I microwave my potatoes .. I wash them, then put in a gal size freezer bag with about half cup of water.. then put on a microwave safe plate.. then 20 mins to start I check them after 15mins.. .. depends on wattage of microwave on how long… it always makes them perfect, never need to turn them .. Just Saiyan..

  8. in my opinion for stand mixture is nothing beats the classic KitchenAid. especially those that are built in the '50s or '60s. they are commercial grade with metal gears.

  9. A good blender is worth it, the cheap ones break after a year. I bought a vitamix dupe tho. Also because in Europe its hard to find a vitamix. But its great and half the price of the vitamix.

  10. I think your pizza was too fancy for the cheap pizza oven 😂 it looks like a pretty awesome and handy 40 dollar machine for frozen pizzas that wouldn't rise as much
