I’ve been looking for one controller that works across every device I own for about nine years. This 249 dollar smart ring might be the closest anyone has come.

In this video, we test the KiWear smart ring across smart glasses, a VR headset, a TV, a laptop, an e-reader and two phones.
It’s a 5 gram ceramic ring with an IMU motion sensor inside, so it reads finger gestures without a camera and without a wristband.
We look at gesture reliability, which devices actually accept it, and the health tracking. Then whether it’s worth backing on day one of the campaign.
This video was not sponsored. KiWear sponsored a separate Short about this product and provided the ring and an Android phone for testing. No review direction was given. Our opinions are our own.

if they open source some of it so people can build it in, instead of KiWear having to build it in everywhere. Plus we could do local health stats somewhere like home assistant. keeping this on my radar for sure
Any way i am waiting for sky tv portal gate so i can inter my tv screen and coming to you couple to test the ring with you and play some games and come back home through yours tv screen.😅
Wanderull😮
Try it on a steam deck
would definitevely want one
prob gonna be required for ar glasses in the future…
I backed it and looking forward to use with my viture beast glasses specially on flights have cell in safe place and control via ring.
I also a autoglasser so hand always dirty so have a earphone on will be able take calls etc and not mess screen up , same when go fishing nothing worst fish etc on cell when fishing
what a load of rubbish. just use your fingers and hands on your device. people are just plain lazy in this day and age
Are you trading on your side window in VR?
hi there kindly test it with dex on ar glasses
Its really cool but id like a ring that just has the gesture control since i dont need the health monitors and if jt was under £40 would be nice
Hi Cas, I've backed this to use with the urxr one and the inair pod. Can you give a little hint on how good that is? Alvast bedankt!
Thanks Cas.
Last thing i need is a health tracker, I'd buy an Apple watch if they did the Hypochondriac Air version.
One ring to rule them all.
I've been burned too many times on Kickstart so no go, and November is too far. By then my guess is that the Apple Ring will come out.
Thanks for the honest review! Been looking at this ring to pair alongside the xreal aura and my phone/tablet and it seems to be better than what I saw with the preview Koda showed. $250 US ($350 au) is a bit steep but I’d use it more than my Apple Watch. Probably can’t justify it, but look forward to what Ki Wear and other companies make in the future because this form factor seems great. Hope it comes at a lowe price and comes in silver/polished steel one day.
Would like more content on the Aura if/when you have your hands on it!
thanks for the review, i need a budget version of this ring for my neckband pro
i just got a tap strap 2 for many of these reasons. this ring looks much more practical for daily use but it's not a keyboard so not really the same product lol
