I’m begging you to stop tightlining like this (seriously).

I’m Begging you to Stop Tightlining like this | If you love the definition of eyeliner but hate when it transfers onto your lower waterline, this video is for you.

I’m showing you how to tightline eyes without smudging, how to keep the liner concentrated at the upper lash line, and the small application changes that can make a huge difference, especially if you have mature or hooded eyes.

Tightlining is one of my favourite eye makeup techniques because it can make the lashes look thicker and darker without taking up valuable lid space. But if you’ve ever tried to tightline your eyes with eyeliner and ended up with transfer underneath, the problem may not be the pencil itself. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to tightline upper waterline correctly, where to place the pencil, how much product to use, and how to help the liner set so it stays cleaner throughout the day.

In this video:
• How to tightline eyes without smudging or transfer
• How to tightline the upper lash line and upper waterline
• How to use less product for a cleaner result
• How to set tightline eyeliner with matte eyeshadow
• What to do if your eyeliner still transfers

I’m demonstrating with my Mature Beauty Velvet Eyeliner, but the goal of this video is to help you understand the technique so you can make tightlining work with the products and eye shape that work best for you.

  1. А что, стрелки на нависшем веке рисовать не умеете?! 😁И когда накрасил веко зачем жмурится?! А еще есть каялы которые не отпечатываются.

  2. Ophthalmologists will tell you NOT to line the waterline. Why? Because there are oil glands there that can get plugged up from that liner, resulting in development of a STYE. You can also accidentally poke yourself in the eye with that liner pencil. Plus, it must be very difficult to remove that liner.

  3. I just refuse to do this at all. It gives me anxiety, it's too uncomfortable, and there's too much risk of damaging your eyes. An old-school kajal from an Indian market is safer and much easier to use inside the upper and lower lid due to the consistency and shape, and there are no chemicals or waxes that clog the delicate pores or cause other eye issues.

  4. I use Urban Decay 24/7 waterline eye pencil for tight line . Does not transfer smudge and stays on till you take it off. Love your tips if not using this product tho !

  5. I love your eyeliners, Gabi. I don't do this very often, but occasionally I will fill in the rim under my top lashes. I don't want any eyeliner on my lower rim. If I keep my eyes open for a minute, there is not any transfer. Only a handful of eyeliners behave this way, and I am happy to say your liners stay put perfectly. Blessings…MaryEllen

  6. I use a Q-tip on the upper waterline right after pencil before it sets, so there is only pencil left between the lashes. No transfer ever. And personal preference, I think showing the waterline, instead of a solid black line there looks more natural.
