HOA vp is nothing, he's still a civilian
Clayton was the most co-operative perp I have ever seen. Being that it was his first offense and how obviously scared and self deprocating, he was and genuinely remorseful. I think he will likely never try anything like this again. It's good that he got caught on his first try like that, maybe god was looking out for him to steer him on a better path. Why even pretend like body cam laws have stopped cops from being corrupt. They regularly block access to footage or “forget” to record. You can pretend like cops aren’t scumbags but the data just doesn’t back you up unfortunately.

The second guy was a moron for doing what he did, HOWEVER credit here credit is due; at least he came clean, paid for the window in full and hopefully moved on and learnt a lesson.
His folks seem like decent people, fingers crossed it was a moment of madness or something to do with drugs and he can get clean and sort himself out.

Re: The “Record this” thing. I think it makes a lot of sense to want to have a recording in your own possession. 1) You can post it instantly and get public opinion on your side. 2) Police can redact elements that maybe you feel benefit you. 3) There can be mistrust that the body cam footage is actually on or won’t mysteriously go missing. 4) Or at least when you post it, all those clicks and views are going to yourself and not Sergeant Steve’s YouTube channel.
Of course, im talking about situations where the individual’s aren’t being complete dumbasses, like in scenario here.
