They way he did it was he read there minds before the trick and had the cards ready and switch them. If you've watched him over the years he is very quick with the cards to make it happen but the real trick is knowing what they say in their heads. David and I are the only two people in the world from all my research that have been able to do that and for him to be able to do it with background noise is amazing! He's better than me at it that is for sure!

1) The card deck was arranged in away that all the same numbers are together. While handing over the card, Blaine positioned them so that they have limited choices and they pick intended cards. Notice blaine checked the remaining cards after handing over to them.
2) Next is the sorcery of words. He would make sure they speak out 4. If not directly, then he would so some math to arrive at 4.
3) next notice when he threw, he actually swapped the cards from 4 to 2. That's the trick. He didnt just put cards straight on table, he swinged his hand backwards and in the process swapped the cards
4) finally again sorcery of words to make sure they say 2.
Blaine is not from this world. He may be in the world, but he's not of it. He has an extra doorway to his consciousness to figure all of these awesome illusions…..but…..are they really just illusions? He will never tell…..
