Do people not know that we are paying $14-15 million per train car? In Europe, Portugal is paying $3.5 million per car for essentially the same car manufactured by Alstom in Portugal.
Why are we paying $4.7 billion for a potentially an economic benefit of $1.6 billion?

Canadians always love Americans. Look, the caffeine keeps Canadian holding on to Starbucks. But let's be honest: the US just doesn't have enough of its own metal to build them, and Canada needs both the metal and the passenger cars so Canada can break down internal trade barriers and increase internal trade.
Trump and his administration reminds me of a cartoon my kids use to watch when they were younger: Pinky and the Brain…though in my version, it would be more like “Pinky and the half-Brain”. They behave like they are in a sitcom trying to get hits on TikTok.
