  1. George V and VI were war time kings. Both served in active operations and George V, like Prince Philip would of been promoted to Senior Admiral of the Navy. George V is honored with his own brand of Johnny Walker Blue Label! It comes in a special box with a royal stamp😂. Very popular King!

  2. The "House of Windsor" has been a "House of Child Abuse". Every child of the monarchy was abused by their parents and, in turn, abused their children. RIGHT UP TO THIS VERY DAY…

  3. What I have learned previous and tinight about George V – I think his was an outstanding monarch through a stressful the in history – he might not have been an outstanding- Dramatic man but he was steady and reliable – I have enjoyed listening to this documentary – it explains a lot about soocial conditions in Britain the led my grandlather who was decorated for being tne the trenches to bring my grandmother and my father who eas 2 years old to Australia for a better life – thankyou – Lin – Australia 10.00 pm

  4. The Royal Cousins, even in India also, will reunite once again before the eternal 'Devi paksha' commences i.e. before the World War III, which is imminent.🇮🇳🇬🇧

  5. How did the British could endure their germans Kings. Accepting them. I just can't understand. Changing their names did nothing. It just showed how unworthy and illegal they were. And your beloved late Queen was nothing more than a German . The only worthy and legal King to be to this day is Willliam. His mother was real British monarchy through her blood line. The Windsors are just unworthy and illegal .

  6. He sold his Russian cousin our and let the jews go onto kill 60 million christians and plunder the whole of Europe and the rest of the globe into 2 world wars. Absolute rat his cowardice thrives in the modern royal family. Slaves of the jews

  7. I'm really enjoying British history on YouTube George the Fifth seem like a great guy and he cared more for the people than the stupid house of Lords..he had a heart. AND I'm a Navy Veteran I would have been honored to serve under a man like that!

  8. George the 5th could've been different, but he came out mostly boring, while tragic as an outcome, it showed that he didn't let his horrible of breaking truly mess them up. But there's a lot left to be desired with how he treats people.

  9. A great documentary as often on this channel, giving due credit to an often underrated monarch. However the brief mention of Edward VIII is unfortunate. Instead of only focusing on controversy and saying merely that he had “always been problematic”, the video could have briefly mentioned that he was one of the most popular royals the country had ever seen during his time as Prince of Wales. Also that he contributed greatly to bringing the monarchy closer to the people, especially with his frequent and unprecedented visits to the poorest regions of Britain, and not only to the nation but to all the countries of the empire. He visited nearly all of them during his royal tours and was extremely popular everywhere. The difficult relationship he had with his father and the controversy of his short reign should not erase his accomplishments as Prince of Wales in a balanced documentary.
Additionally, I am surprised to hear that he supposedly only engaged in short lived romances before Wallis Simpson, as I don’t consider his passionate relationship with Freda Dudley-Ward short at all, it lasted after all more than a decade !

  10. Notice how many of these royals are not very good students? Thank goodness that some, at least, married smart women. These Windsors aren’t too intelligent. There are a few exceptions, not many. Yet they get these high ranking positions in the military, making a mockery of the armed forces.

  11. It was not the USA joining the war in 1917 which assured victory but the Royal Naval blockade which ensured that fact.
It is not even mentioned whiich undermines this video as worthy of being called 'history'

  12. I thought KING GEORGE V was a good King for his time. And George VI was also a good King especially under ALL the adverse Circumstances with which he had to deal with both in Government and Him Personally……

  13. Not to forget that it was during the reign of George the fifth that Britain was the cause of a large famine in Persia ,present Iran which led to the death of more than 9 million innocent people

  14. I really can’t see how he could be overlooked or underrated honestly.
He was the perfect Monarch at the time he was heed most. And performed most admirably.
🥂to George V and this production.

  15. To use frivelous language to describe the honoured King can only be seen as a lack of anything undignified. His reign is one of Dignity and Duty. One which demanded of all his house to be fully present for Duty and Monarchy. He did his best his intention was true.
