I was in a 7:00 am meeting in my office with teaching assistants at BYU. My wife called and said turn on CNN, but wouldn’t say why. We all sat silent. I was raised on the Jersey side of the Hudson River and knew the NYC skyline well. I went back for my mother’s funeral in 2004 and could not believe how absent the city appeared. BTW, I cancelled classes that day, but had the TV on for the students to watch.

BYU has the opportunity tomorrow to start a magical season. The Cougars have not had the player depth they enjoy this season ever. The game means more than revenge ( Az's rally cry); BYU has its eyes on a bigger prize. Stay the course, prep for the game in front of you, and be excellent in execution. Stay Humble, teachable, and hungry!
