How would we communicate in the event of a massive cellular network outage?

Pretty neat. I like this better than using bluetooth like bitchat does (I bet you could bridge them, even). I see the benefit of both, though, and decentralized, P2P, and encrypted communication is always a good thing. Becoming more necessary than ever.
What about hairtastic?
Works with other mesh-tech like Cardo and SENA?
>greenberg
Yeah nice try, Israel
Does not use long range radio it uses short range radio and a hop system …..
They should remove the MQTT option and avoid linking Meshtastic to the internet or any conventional "on-the-grid" method. The MQTT option undermines the very principle of what Meshtastic truly is: text-based communication that is completely off-the-grid.
what are good products for mt and lora
I have the radio configured here in Woodruff SC and never captured any user.
good info but what a strange video. why is it a scripted interview
So would it be smart to put one of these in a fair day bag until you absolutely need it or is that unnecessary?
Are they twins?
I thought these were both vsauce
I was searching for iron with the same idea. ❤but i need high range in emergency if internet shut down
2 idiots.
I live in south Texas and yesterday im guessing we had some band conditions. A node in southern Colorado popped up on my map as well as north texas
Why are there so many bald white guys with beards and glasses these days? Literally thought this was the same guy talking to himself.
I need it but in the Nigeria
Please how much
Are they addressable? Does is send messages, signals, etc to one device, or just blasts out to every device?
So I can get a message that it’s the end of the world
So are these devices just like a big group chat?
Imagine if every phone company integrated this antenas…
Im building out some solar nodes in my area since im rural there are none nearby, I plan to add a few so they can mesh up to my nearest city
By far, the BEST explanation to forward on to friends and family that you want to inform.
Kinda similar to how air tags and other smart tracking device works. I like it.
they’re gonna have to come up with a better name.
He's talking with himself of the future?
How much is that cost?
I don't get it…Been through plenty of hurricanes down here on the gulf coast and never once lost cell service and text.
Cool.
Heres two v sauces
That doesn’t make sense to me.. if there are bandwidth limitations.. scaling to a larger community will certainly build a better mesh, but will also increase the bandwidth constraints. You’d want to scale with users who are infrequent users or it’s a constant balance between more users and bandwidth issus
200 miles my big fat behind…..
If you go more than a few hops, the message will never get there.
People like you that proclaim yourself experts when you have no idea what you're talking about IS the problem with YT and other platforms…
This is really cool but let's hope no intelligence agency is behind this. Sounds too good to be open source.
These are quite big in the UK I've got 3 including the blackberry one, we need them with our Govt 🤣
🤡 China Virus? Terrorican Virus?
Never shown in the same frame, you can’t convince me these aren’t the same guy.
JEW
Very cool idea…. However, having a ham radio seems much more beneficial. In a true emergency, you don’t need a ham license to operate a ham radio. Mesh would be a cool network to have specifically if you had like a community neighborhood bugout group or something for doomsday (ps can’t wait for avengers). But love the ideas that people keep pushing out with communication
It would be nice if every fire station or police station had one of these.
It would be nice if every ham operator could put one on their antenna.
One step back, two steps forward.
Can it be used in the mountains for camping trips
