I live in OZ and hunt beaches only (am a beginner with my elite). My beaches are very clean non mineralised, do I need to ground balance in my situation ?

hi after listening to this video I now understand alot better the X terra elite but I still have a question
when I metal detect it keeps making sounds everytime which I know is normal ,but I am struggling to understand sometimes which one is actually random trash or real things such as coins ,horseshoe or even here ,shell casing ?

I started with Xterra pro and found it to be an excellent general machine…However, like many I found the target ID to be a bit jumpy so I pulled the trigger on an Elite and kept the XTP as a backup and to loan out to friends & family. I love everything bout the elite and I got it for a great deal using the 15% military discount on a site with free shipping and zero tax. On top of that I received a free $150 profind-40 pinpointer
…about 1/3 the cost of the machine!!

Could you please help me with the best settings for the Minelab X-Terra Elite?
I’m looking for a gold stud earring with a diameter of around 5–8 mm in a freshwater lake, in about waist- to belly-deep water. The bottom is sandy/muddy.
I know approximtly where to search since we lost it there 😉
What settings would you recommend for:
Search mode
Sensitivity
Frequency / Multi-IQ
Recovery Speed
Ground balance
Iron Bias
Discrimination or All Metal
I’d really appreciate any tips, especially from people who have experience finding very small gold items in water.

Great video sir! You mentioned that there was a lot more information on Ground Balancing contained within the manual. There was no manual in my detector box…only a fold out "Getting Started" guide. Nothing like the large detailed multi-page "User manual" that came with my Nokta Legend. Is the "Getting Started" guide what you were referring to..as there really is nothing on Ground Balancing in that. Thanks!
When you shut off the detector, than turn it back on ,will it save your settings you just programmed? Or do you have to reset everything again? Great info video!👍

Iv recently bought the xterra elite. I was detecting on arable land and i was constantly getting chatter. I did the noise cancellation and even had sensitivity down to 8 but still chatty. Am i doing something wrong
I bought my Elite last summer but only used it twice. When the weather warms up, I'll be using my Elite a lot. This video is very helpful to a new owner like me. Thanks for posting this.

I'm from Uk, just bought this machine. Thanks for telling us we don't need to worry about ground balance settings here, I had no idea!
I think the old Equinox 600 is better, and at least the Elite has a new processor, but it's not fast, I miss a lot of finds from the place where the Equinox 600 sees them, with the Elites you have to go very slowly, it's more suitable for the beach, where depth is not needed.

A massive thank you to Crawfords for their excellent service and very helpful staff on the phone.
They really went over and above in my case ( they know what I mean).
Unfortunately not been out since I've had the detector so not had the chance to try it in the field yet!
I'll try to keep up to date with the tips and tricks that you are showing us on the channel, but hopefully I'll manage to get the machine to how I want it.
I've been detecting since age 10 and I've just turned 60 last year so I think I've tried about every model on the market, and I've got hopes for this model, judging by the reviews I've read.
