Most People Don’t Actually Know Why They Believe What They Believe

Andrew Wilson reflects on the most important lesson his father taught him: how to think for himself. He says most people repeat ideas they’ve heard without ever questioning where those beliefs came from or whether they can actually justify them. For Wilson, learning to challenge assumptions and demand reasons behind every claim became one of the most powerful tools shaping the way he sees the world.

  1. He taught you how to think how to think and you’ve read the Bible and did some research on the history and you still think it’s not been corrupted. You’re a moron.

  2. My father taught me that too!!! The exact same thing.
Except he always said it like this, HES FULL OF SHIT! Or SHE IS FULL OF SHIT!
HE OR SHE WOULD KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APPLE BUTTER AND SHIT!
Or “YOUR ASS IS OUT” how about that one? How many of you hear that from your parents? I imagine you would have to be in you late 40’s to mid 50’s to hear mom n dad saying that.
Anyway, y’all have a good one, and GOD loves us!

  3. Well, he couldn’t have thought him how to think too well because you would think that he would have enough common sense not to go on podcast where he argues with young uneducated women spewing his religious bullshit while he has a wife that’s had numerous husbands and numerous kids buy those husbands. I mean, he loves the Bible so much but if this was back in the day of the Bible, his wife would’ve been stoned to death at some point.
