I think nelson learned from the failure of Beast movie how to handle a superstar.
Jailer 2 didn't have huge hindi belt release as far as i know still it became a huge grosser.
The core plot of Vikram and Jailer seems similar. Ironically I enjoyed Jailer more than Jailer. Also Jailer seems more clever than pseudoclever Vikram. But the cameos are getting out of hands at this point. They weren't done were well in Jailer 2

Nelson knew how to handle the cameos better. Lalettan was the best cameo imo( yes I am a Malayali). Jailer 2 with the cameo characters together was my favorite part of the movie. Lalettan Shivanna and Jackie Shroff!!

for me jailer 1 was peak then coolie came at that time i dont like 2nd half espeacially logic mistakes
but after seeing jailer 2 2nd half, i like coolie ,, atleast coolie gave theatre experience OG CLIMAX with deaging
but i dont enjoy jailer 2 climax i dont like the look grey color shirt with sunny climate, aslo climax feels like very lenghty and sj suriya charter is wasted no power at all ,and frames fixed by nelson feels no effort very disappointed as rajini fan, and Anirudh wasted the 4 superstar frame he dont use hukkum for cigeratete scene feels very dry 😡😡😡 (disclaimer jailer 2 story was peak no doubt ,bridge scene,tea stall scene was peak)
but in coolie atleast nagarjuna kills andd found 2 irritating charater "Dayal and his wife very satisfied" also rajini sir look with marroon shirt in climax was peak but jailer 2 climax look ,why nelson 😡🤬🤬

TV Told him Please His Fan's, So At The Time Of The Beast, Nelson Totally Confused And It was Horribly Gone Wrong., Just 1 Bad Idea Can Make you Joker, But I think Nelson Made a Good Decision To Make Jailer With Rajni Sir, And Rest is History! Nelson Is A Master Storyteller Who Can Bring A Comedy From A Serious Situations.
i think both handled well it is about how they saw rajini. Nelson said about annamalai so off course his filmmaking will be like that while lokesh said about thalapathy so he went towards emotions i liked both coolie and J1,J2.

i don't have any complaint with coolie. वो भी अच्छी ही फिल्म थी, बस वाला सीन ने तो दिल ही जीत लिया था, कैमियो थोड़े dull थे, पर सब कुछ iconic ही था, नागार्जुना को बहुत साल बाद ऐसे रोल में देखा था, उपेंद्र भी बहुत अच्छा लगा, अमीर की एंट्री उसके लेवल पे फीकी लग सकती है, खासकर उसका लुक बहुत गंदा था, पर अगर आजके हिसाब से बाकी फिल्मों की हालत देखते हुए कहा जाये तो अच्छी ही थी, कमल हासन फिजिकली आज भी बहुत फिट है, रजनीकांत हमेशा अपनी हेल्थ के हिसाब से थोड़े कमजोर रहते है, हो सकता है इसीलिए लोकेश सीधा उनको उसके रॉ एग्रेसिव एक्शन पैक्ड मोड़ मैं नहीं दिखा पाया है, वरना जितना भी उनको दिखाया है, उसके फिल्म मेकिंग के हिसाब से और रजनी सर के हिसाब से कमाल ही दिखाया है।
