Mercedes has unveiled the updated 2026 C-Class, bringing what the company describes as the most comprehensive technical upgrade in the model’s history.
The refreshed range combines revised styling, electrified petrol and diesel engines, plug-in hybrid powertrains and a new generation of digital technology.
Exterior changes include a redesigned illuminated radiator grille, new headlights and taillights with Mercedes star graphics, reshaped bumpers and new wheel designs.
Petrol models use upgraded four-cylinder mild-hybrid engines with a second-generation integrated starter-generator providing up to 17 kW and 205 Nm of additional assistance. The C 300 produces 258 hp, the C 250 offers 218 hp and the C 200 develops 177 hp.
At the top of the plug-in hybrid range, the C 400e produces up to 395 hp and 650 Nm, while its 19.5 kWh battery provides an electric range of up to 100 km. DC charging at up to 55 kW is also supported.
Inside, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class receives updated materials, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented central touchscreen.
The latest MB OS and MBUX system introduces an AI-powered Virtual Assistant using technology from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini. The system supports more natural conversations, over-the-air updates and Google Maps-based navigation with Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent.

Changes are mostly exterior. Interior stays the same save the software upgrade, which isn't necessarily a bad thing when you consider current trends
They should seriously think about ground clearance suitable for Indian Roads.
