Nissan GT-R R35 Litchfield Stage 1 Review

Is the Litchfield Stage 1 Nissan GT-R R35 the ultimate real-world supercar killer? Standard, the facelift R35 GTR puts down 562 BHP, but this Litchfield Stage 1 build pushes output to a staggering 590 BHP – complete with a Litchfield Y-Pipe for enhanced exhaust note, custom transmission mapping, and feature highlights like rolling launch control.

In this detailed review, encyCARpedia takes a deep dive into the facelift Nissan GT-R R35 (Prestige trim). We examine every angle, from the functional oil cooler vents and twin-turbo VR38DETT V6 engine layout to the controversial cosmetic bumper vents, titanium exhaust system, carbon composite bracing, and premium leather/carbon interior. Watch as we put the 590 BHP power down, demonstrate rolling launch control in action, test out the dual-clutch transmission in R-Mode, and evaluate handling on farmer John’s private country roads. Thanks farmer John!

Whether you’re comparing the GT-R R35 against modern sports cars like the BMW M4 Competition or curious about Litchfield tuning capabilities, this in-depth tour and driving review covers everything you need to know!

  1. Big thanks to Farmer John for lending us his private country roads for this test drive! 🚜💨
The GT-R still reigns supreme as the ultimate supercar killer! I forgot to mention, but the G82 M4 competition xDrive holds nothing to this car. Since this video, I've had a Type 2 Maximum Performance alignment done, and Oh my goodness. It takes the car to levels I didn't know existed. I'll have to make another video. It's gone from bonkers to other-worldly.
