2026 and iPhone fold seems to have taken inspiration from this. When I first heard about iPhone fold rumours I immediately thought of this.
Until Oppo finds "N"
I keep coming back to the Oppo find N2 videos because I’m pretty positive this is the closest thing that has come out that looks like the iPhone fold renders. I feel this phone might have inspired the passport style approach.

I have the fold 4 and waiting to get screen replaced i have the oppo find N and loaded it with all my google apps and removed all oppo bloat ware ….its a excellent phone

This is still the best, most perfect sized phone in general. I'm so bummed that foldables don't look to be going in this direction. The first Pixel Fold was a source of optimism, but the Pro Fold 9 is humongous. They look to have abandoned the smaller size, unless they continue with a mid range regular Pixel Fold 9.
An a series foldable would interest me but the a has grown in size itself too.

… Except the Fold 4 made this thing look stupid mere months later. 🤷 While the Fold 3's ≈23:9 front display was DEFINITELY too narrow & slightly too tall, the Find N's old school ≈16:9 display was WAAAAAAY too short & wide for a thick foldable phone! (Not to mention it made the interior display a FUCKING SQUARE! 🤦😡).
The ≈+3-4mm wider & ≈-1.5mm shorter Fold 4 otoh was basically the "Goldilocks foldable" with juuuuuust wide enough of a front display (≈23:9 vs ≈24.5:9/≈25:9 on Fold 2/3 respectively) with now symmetrical bezels AND without making the interior display a total fucking square that's dogshit for BOTH widescreen media watching in landscape AND scrolling through modern vertical app feeds in portrait! (Still being ≈6:5 vs the nearly 100% fucking SQUARE ≈9:8 on the OnePlus Open or even worse ≈9:8.5 on the Find N/N2.)

Samsung should used the body of S10e and it make it a foldable phone. That would be awesome. I see this Oppo N Fold front screen similar to the S10e. Am currently using S10e and might consider Oppo N Fold as my next phone. Thanks MKBHD for this video review!

Nice 1 point learning. I still use the before Trump ruling band. My 2018 Huawei mate 20x 4G. It's still holding up to y needs. I can't let it go because of the 7.2 in screen. I heard rumors of Oppo sister company OnePlus might get a foldable phone for the US. I just can't bring myself to purchase that F4. (expensive) However I heard the Fold 5 is coming. Anyway I'm in wait and see mode.

Samsung killer fold.
Team two screens frankly. Surface Duo still has the best design among foldables. I just wanted a better battery life, a small screen on the outside (not even a full screen, just a small cut-out telling the time and warning me when someone calls or writes me) and a slightly better camera solution. SIGH!
That said, if I have to choose between small or tall boy, the small one wins hands down.
Only thing is can you get insurance on it through assurance
