This StatQuest is all about interpreting p-values. You’ve seen them online or in publications, or heard about them, whispered in dark, rave filled dance clubs, but you’ve never understood what they were all about. This ‘Quest is here to explain everything you wanted to know about how to interpret p-values. Bam!!!
To learn how the p-values were calculated in this video, see…

very good video for intuition about p-values
ty!
Bro why you gotta talk to me like I’m a 3 year old
What the hell
Super BAM!!!
I came here from the Covariance and Correlation video. To be honest, I didn't follow the playlist in a linear fashion but rather jumbled, but then I have a question.
I'm personally not really good at mathematics, so when I hear that smaller p-value actually means the probability of the data occurring outside predicted value is small, I find quite hard to follow. To my ears, I can comprehend something like: "The analyst is 99.8% sure that any given gene Y value will correspond to the gene X value (assuming positive correlation)" easier. To put it differently:
A. "If gene Y is sitting at 60, we are 99.8% sure that gene X will also be sitting around 60"
B. "If gene Y is sitting at 60, there is only 0.002% chance for gene X to be sitting outside 60"
Would reporting the p-value like in the (A) option affect how people perceive our calculation or analysis result?
@05:34. Thank God you said this.
I dont really get it about p-value cause thats very complicated.
I get it and not get it at the same time, tho
this video is a bammer i love you

Sir, I hope that both sides of your pillow are cold tonight. You covered two chapters worth of content for my master's program in under 15 minutes and explained everything in simple, clear terms. THANK YOU!
6:00 — I wish your Statistics Fundamentals playlist included your Fisher's Exact Test video. Seems like you might have elected to remove it.
Is 0.649 an okay p value or not? Pls someone help I'm confused 😭 I ran a paired samples t-test
Nice Explanation
Thanks!
thank youuu
Fantastic videos.
BAM BAM BAM!!!

5 year old video … and these BAM teacher still replying to the comments .. double BAM !!!
what a goat
PEAK video. Saved my ass. This is one of the best ways to teach an intimidating concept like the p-value was to me
8:10 isn’t death by a drug a false negative? If it made you smarter it’s a false positive lmao
I don't like to complaint, I'm not complaining but I'm asking: is there any kind of gathering/info sharing place for students to discus how the info material is valuable and useful while how teachers make it hard like hated garbage? I'm looking for a place to deflate my garbage experience and also to know about others, statistics is telling a lie based on a little truth, yet my grades are fucked for telling truth base on lies. Something in the definition is not right
I wish I can throw more than one like. thank you so very much for helping me using brain cells I didn't know I need and I have to use
Do you have a video about A/B testing?
does p represents alpha (significance level)? if so, does that mean we reject null hypothesis if alpha more or equals to 0.05?
Bamm! this man is crazy
