Which cutting board material is best? I tested wood, plastic, bamboo, composite, rubber, stainless steel, and titanium to see how they affect knife sharpness, noise, stains, odors, and safety. Some boards performed way better than expected, and others were a disaster. Watch to see which cutting board you should actually buy.

Bro a link popped up on your video taking me to a $113 teak cutting board 😂😂😂 wtf
This saved me thank you!
You are the real MVP for doing this break down quickly but so effectively, sparing us 20 mins of dragging out information 😅
AMEN AMEN AMEN 🙏
We got the exact same wooden cutting board here and it recently got mold and we had to throw it away, I’ll be sticking with steel cutting board, they don’t keep bacteria.
add…
Looks like I made the right purchases. Thank you!
Sânt foarte subțiri
Do you want it to be and grain so the fibers are oriented vertically because then the board actually sucks the moisture down and that’s what does the best antimicrobial. Also, when you cut on a vertical fiber board, the board can heal so to speak where I can’t really happen if the fibers are horizontal.. lastly horizontally oriented fiber boards are far far far more likely to become jointed, split and bow.
Great job mate.
Metal also produces small splinters. Thank you for doing this study! I did a smaller and similar one and came up with the same conclusion!
Edge grain can be sanded down, oiled and be basically brand new (aside from being a few mm thinner)
Using one study from 1994 that isnt linked here, good work bud, now show comparison with glass and metal.
The mere idea of metal cutting boards makes me want to hide my knives.
japanese rubber boards
Thank You
I'm going to make 3 edge-grain boards out of 'spotted gum' for my grown-up kids…and they're going to have to learn how to sharpen knives because that is one hard wood.
Onions + wood boards = onion flavored everything
Can you tell me where to pick up the type of boy that you're saying to get is there a specific name brand?
Testar o barulho é piada😂
Aside from mold (which can be deal with by drying it properly) wood is nice and it give best cutting experience imo
I heard that wood is porous and can have invisible mold??
Don’t buy checkered wood board or any wood board that has designs in since they use glue to combine these pieces together. Instead get a wood board as one piece item
Thank you for the video…. Very helpful
Who cares about how loud cutting is, and if your knife needs sharpening, simple ! Sharpen it. It’s stainless steel for me.
Real piece of information. Thx sir
Thank you sofa-king much.
Ohho baby, rock n roll
Não existe tábua de corte de titânio. O que se tem é inox 304.
so wood and bamboo are the same ?
My wood board got fungus
What about bamboo and teflon.
No need to watch video plastic is shit that gets into ur food, steel and glass boards cmon use ur brain and end grain wood best done. Only end grain rest is trash
Thank you for this. I almost dove into the titanium cutting board morass.
What about glass boards??
We always cleaned our wood boards with a salt scrub… Never metal, never plastic again
What about glass cutting boards?
It seems Maple now performed better on the knife dulling test but performed poorly in the previous video, 8 months ago
But my wood cutting board sheds wood at every use so I stopped using it
I always ask the same question, why do we need to use plastics and alternatives when we were doing the same thing for hundreds of years? like cooking on iron pans, cutting on wooden boards and using wood utensils instead of plastic
