If AI is doing all the work for the student, there's no reason to hire the student for work.
“Is there any point in studying math?”
Is there any point in thinking? It’s like asking whether there is any point in exercising.
So a country built on outsourcing labor is mad/ demonizing the next generation for outsourcing 😒😒
This is fckin stupid let the kids cheat. Amazon is one of americas biggest corporations and the majority of their products are made in china.
You can just have everything on paper in person. Easiest solution. People have learned for hundreds of years without tech
People have always cheated to get a degree. It’s just very easy now. Back then it was an art.
That's funny they create AI then then get mad your using it how you're supposed to use it to have all the answers…. Bunch of lames….
Simple. Just expel anyone caught using AI.
School has no sense any more. Birds teach young birds to migrate. Youth has no purpose by training anything if job is not needed in AI era.
reading is mandatory, how can people Got clueless without studying how can your brain can comprehend
Richard Bocherds just made my week 😂😂😂 thank you for bringing levity into the room
What a surprise….haha😂
These professors are useless and need to be fired
It’s simple don’t pay for over priced college. Solved that problem for you. 😂 instead put that money into an index fund and retire a millionaire while working at Macdonald. In your 50s. 😂 we call that compound interest
It's simple, no graded homework, and in person paper exams and quizzes. No digital books or homework, make the homework paper and pencil problem sets to help prepare for the exams.
Wow, people cheat if you give zero supervision! Thank you right wing news station!
If most of what the education system teaches is useless then “cheating” is actually the smartest thing you can do there’s a reason why we are still able to use the basic skills taught in elementary that’s because those are the only years were the learning material is actually useful, your own brain even tells you this.
uh duh. i mean that the only way to see if they are learning is to test them. I mean writing papers are meaningless when AI can just do it. Lets learns stuff we can actually go hand in hand with AI. What that would be i have no idea. let be go ask AI. lol
College became a test of how well someone can cleverly apply ai 😂
The laziness of academics is fascinating. This is how they deal with a changing world. Genuinely captivating.
This is total bullshit; there are many ways to combat AI and students DO NOT like it on the whole. Traditional education will beat AI by simply not allowing tech in the classroom.
Hello doctor. So how did you get your degree? Oh, I cheated.
I find it kind of ridiculous to say theres nothing left for us to do if we don't even understand the math its producing, sounds very irresponsible.
Simple solution is enforce people to be in person, i've been saying this and all the instructors brains shut off off for some reason
This sht needs banned, put jamming devices in schools to prevent access to cheating idiots.
Using AI is relatively the same thing as using a calculator. Cant prevent people from using it. The educational system should adapt
Those of us who didn’t use AI might be one of the few humans in the future that actually know math science or memory recall very sad
We are giving merit to cheaters now… very dangerous
Start grading on students ability to explain their works with evidence/sources . Stop letting the document be the final deliverable
Really what is needed is embracing AI and force students to interpret their findings verbally. In the workplace now we are being forced to use it all the time
There’s nothing on a computer I can’t get AI to do. Anyone that spends most of their day on a computer for work should be concerned. Trade jobs might last a bit longer but those too could eventually be taken over by robotics. Feel like the storyline to cyberpunk and The Expanse are playing out now in real life.
jokes on him. Grades mean nothing. It's the assignments you give yourself that count.
Paper. Pencil.
This is easy fix.
Handwritten assignments done in an in person proctored environment, scantron is poised to make a comeback
Aaaah that’s news from 2024 guys…
its not funny
Professors need to teach applications of subject matter
Universities don't give a fuck as long as you pay
Oh wow
Agree !
students Do All college work / exams in class
AI can produce false positives
Ie “AI hallucinations”
im in school right now i cant even bother doing my homework anymore because everything seems like worthless busy work.
or the teacher gave poor instructions and telling me to REDO the assignment. So forget it im asking AI to show me an example of what the teacher wants then i just mimic example and try to use my own brain to customize it a little and double check the AI to make sure its accurate.
and it formulate everything i wanted to say in such a clear way I convince myself that it was actually my thoughts. I mean it is where i would have probably ended up but i would have had to think for many many hours.
also we have always had to "read and regurgitate info" so AI is perfect I can quickly take in info and vomit it back up just like they always wanted us to be able to do.
OR MAYBE they should start focusing on testing on the process and not just the right answer.
School now is 99% online modules they tried to automate education but without the person to person interaction Ima just cheat im sorry i don't have time to be bored all day its miserable I hate school now I'm only continuing because im in sweden and the classes are free & i have nothing better to do and i want to learn the language.
if this was a history class at UW again I'd not even bother learning the info id just pass the class to move on with my life
There are definitely jobs that have real job security for at least another 10+ years – carpentry and plumbing are way up there. And you won't have college loan debt! Another is to be the provider of human services, not just medical but entertainment. Like starting an escape room. Being a magician is something AI can't ever do, because the entire point of it is to show extrahuman powers being accomplished by a human. And this is just one stuoid YouTube comment – anyone with high school aged kids can take some time to come up with way more options. Just don't assume college is the way to go anymore, unless you've got a kid that really wants to become a doctor or lawyer (in which case, think carefully about that, and find a kind that will last long enough to pay off loans before ai takes over – so not a radiologist, but maybe a dentist, and not a wills/estates attorney but maybe a trial attorney)
AI taught me more than any prof ever has btw. No disrespect to the profs out there.
