Pure acid vapor – don’t breathe this

Aluminum trichloride is commonly used in chemical synthesis. It’s anhydrous, meaning that it’s completely dry and it’s also really reactive. It even reacts with moisture in the air and it lets off acidic HCl gas. It can be destroyed much faster, and let off a lot more gas, if I just dump it into some water.

  1. One time in my chem lab I accidentally took a small breath of hydrochloric acid and felt like garbage the rest of the day. Stuff like this terrifies me lol

  2. Take a deep breath. Guaranteed to clear up your sinuses better than any medicine known to man. For about 30 seconds before your sinuses begin to liquify and things go downhill from there.

  3. I had a scary experience with 98% sulfuric acid gas. 😢

For 2 months, I could not breathe normally. It was very hard to breathe. I was just using a basic respirator like a COVID mask. Now, I have a complete face respirator to filter acid go to my lung

  4. How the AlCl3 is covalent compound because aluminium is metal and chlorine is non metal and we also known that the transfer of electrons between metal and non metal formed ionic compound
