Este vídeo es un viaje por el futuro a escala humana, geológica y cósmica: el pico de población hacia 2100 y el cambio del mapa urbano, obras pensadas para durar milenios como Longplayer o la Pirámide del Tiempo, y un cielo que se transforma con nuevas estrellas guía y constelaciones irreconocibles. A medida que avanzan los milenios, vuelven climas como un Sáhara tropical, aparecen amenazas raras pero inevitables —supervolcanes y asteroides— y se dibuja una Tierra que no se parece a nada de lo que conocemos.
Luego el reloj se acelera: lunas que colisionan, Betelgeuse explotando como supernova, continentes que se parten y se recomponen hasta un nuevo supercontinente, y un planeta cada vez más condicionado por la luminosidad creciente del Sol. Entre el fin de los eclipses y la caída del CO₂, la fotosíntesis deja de sostener el mundo y la vida se va apagando hasta quedar, como mucho, microorganismos. Pensar en todo esto no cambia el destino del planeta, pero sí el peso real de nuestro presente.
