In 2016 three indian climbers died trying to summit Mount Everest. Two of them were abandoned by their guides near the top. In 2017, the Indian government funded an expensive mission to retrieve their bodies.
Over 300 have lost their lives on Mount Everest. Should great expense and risk be taken to remove them, or should they remain where they are as a reminder of the perils of high altitude mountaineering?

Honour them by burying them . They should be brought back. Better create permanent stations at 8000 and 8500 meters with all required items like oxygen and medical… It can be done…to day we are having equipments…. Seriously the cold wind and low oxygen is the problem
They should be removed. No garbage up there.
I think they should outlaw commercial climbing & get back to sport climbing.
The Indian government should spend money helping the poor, not retrieving the wealthy.
I see. Just leave them up there as a reminder of how dangerous it can be
Have it become a volunteer mission if you leave the bodies there it may attract more people and morbid curiosity and you will have more dead climbers
Keep them as is , it shows the risk others are taking 😢
Idiots should remain where they are, natural selection at finest
Never risk a life for a dead one. Use the money to make the life of Sherpa's life beter instead. Everyone knows the risk, let the dead bodies stay there as reminders of that risk, And remember: Everest made them part of Everest as the 'Icy Icarus People of Everest'.
What shame to humanity.. 😮 you are the kind those who would claim your policy to your grave 😊 the great Alexander shocked infront of you guys who commented here about their tax 😂
SORRY… NO SYMPATHY
Everest should be cleaned up and kept off limits to everyone. Deaths and pollution are not just worth it. Leave Everest alone and clean, and live well to the end of your days.
Love hearing about people doing the wonderful things that make us humans. I love you! Wasn't born to do nothing.
And what reason is take them down?
I wonder why no one has para shoot down the mountain I guess the high winds would take you down so fast it wouldn't matter.
…I'M NOT trying to be mean, leave them there. They're😮 gonna be just as dead if they come don't down
I love how this dumb YouTube calls it “abandoned “. Nobody is going to piggyback you up or down the fucking Mt Everest. They’re getting paid 2k, and nobody is going to risk their lives for that. Nobody should, a white person would never do that for them. We saw what happened to Hilary Dawa.
Use grenades and tarmac
The simple answer is heck NO
Les récupérer, afin de ne pas transformer la montagne en une morgue à ciel ouvert. La pollution par de multiples cadavres, sans solution, serait un manque de respect pour ce lieu, et pour ceux qui se disent amoureux de la montagne sacrée.
I think mountain summits in the Himalayas should be outlawed.
No one put a gun to their head to engage in this dangerous climbing activity! Leave them on this place they loved more than life and family!!
Need more people and rest post
How about putting the deceased in a harness attached to a parachute, just push them off and retrieve them.
I wonder what race has died the most on everest. That govenment needs to do something
I think mountain Everest is risky but not dangerous. .most of people died. Not wearing oxygen mask in death zone and long Wait Q in death.zone that’s the main death rate increases
Remove the Bodies. They don't get to Die and just chill up there forever. It costs a hundred thousand dollars to go up just once.
They don't get to cheat the system by Dying, thinking they'll get to stay up there forever.
Nah jit jamicans just take of their shooes bearfoot they clime anything we jamaicans dont know what cool is
In my opinion if it is safe and in the reach then they should try to do it but as i know if the body is in the final summit push zone which is mainly death zone then it is not safe to do so, specially if it is ahead of southeast ridge then it is very very risky i know as a Indian that without doing ritual it is hard to let go but we also have to thing about them who are going up there to recover the body
Outlaw climbing that mountain
Leave them there
I’d rather be left on the mountain than thrown in one of those big fires 🔥 in India
That's not accurate , 300 lives lost 😮 I calculated… 4 or more millions of lives ever since time began , to the present, nex time get you shut straight , know what you're talking about
That boved bro like a completely frozen ice pop from 2012 in your freezer you forgot about 😂
I was born 2016 😂
No the risk is so god dam high. It's more like suicide mission
The dead climbers were probably Indian soldiers, that's why the Indian government would have spent all that money to retrieve their bodies. Money well spent.
They should be left there. They loved that mountain enough to risk their lives to go to there, they belong on that mountain. As we mountain enthusiasts say "and if I must bow, I shall bow to the god of mountains"
Send them home for the families
Place stone with name
Leave
I think they should be stricter about who is allowed to climb Everest.
human litter…remove them…they should have to pay cost of removal prior to climbing…
BAN !!! NO MORE CLIMBERS
Can't they just parachute the corpsicles off?
I can't respect the dead who didn't respect nature.
To me, self reliance is part of the essence of being a mountaineer. By this standard, the deceased are responsible for their condition. By this standard, many who ascend Mt. Everest are not mountaineers, and there is no shame in not attempting to ascend this mountain.
