  1. If they're driving on the streets, and they are, they need to have a license from the DMV. Just got flicked off yesterday by a small finger, when some ebike goons weren't looking and I honked to warn him he's about to hit my front bumper. It needs to stop.

  2. An e bike is still a motorized vehicle. No juvenile under 16 shouldn’t be allowed to operate one. We license people to drive any motorized vehicle.

  3. As if police have the numbers to enforce cell phone distracted drivers, ebike rider violations, or anything else before the accidents happen

    They don't

If far more people are on ebikes, and there are no regulations on the ebike companies before they sell overpowered bikes, well… You get accidents, more than before. Not news. Not news. Just sad

  4. Damn unfortunately children under age can only get a max life insurance policy of a 100k, unless parent has a much higher value, then the child can match it. Was thinking about buying a 5 million for my neighbors' kid, and pray will get roll over by a car, i guess it won't work.

  5. Again a good thing taken totally out of context. E-bikes should not have a throttle, should only operate with pedaling. These are emotorcycles. Why do people ruin good things? Motorcycle and emotorcycles should require the same laws. This is what is wrong with people.

  6. The state of California created this whole debacle by allowing people to drive unregulated, unregistered, unlicensed, underage, uninsured and untrained persons to operate motor driven cycles on public streets and highways.

  7. Next parents who contribute to a death jail is to good. A LIFE SENTENCE SAVING OUR CHILDREN TO SAVE OUR WORLD and the next breathing being you provide a joy ride to kill you pay for.

  8. So 25 dollars is worth a life. Seriously, frontal lobes are not even developed enough to make life decisions yet. Kindness, let alone other's their actions may physically and emotionally hurt… because parents aren't paying attention and now we are needed to choose to save life's.

  9. Politicians are listening to the people this time. Parents want to finally be able to cash in their Gerber baby life insurance policies, get the money, and buy a house.

  10. $25 fine or safety course; I'm betting the fine will be paid far faster and sooner than anyone willing to take time off to take a 'safety course.' Raise the fine to say, $100 and that'll change things up a bit.
