I was wondering when cnet would throw in an apple reference.
"Even before I got them out of the box I knew they'd sound excellent". I trust your reviews, but just saying a healthy mindset for reviews should be to curb this (natural) expectation.
In my opinion, nothing beats Devialet Gemini II. It is a deep bass monster, garranty punching your head.
Are the 4 gold charging contacts/pins/pogo-pins just a fail safe so there is less of a chance there are charging problems? You know dirt, oil, grime can sometimes block the charging connections….
The issue i have with sennheiser is that I bought the ie 600's at £700 and after 3 years one of the ear pieces stopped working with a known fault will it be the same with these????

Nice review, but nothing about the poor reliability!
MTW5 looks great, but after owning two pairs of MTW2, two pairs of MTW3, two pairs of MTW4, plus several other Sennheiser products, I’ve learned something disappointing: customer loyalty seems to mean very little to Sennheiser.
When my MTW4 developed problems shortly after the warranty expired, despite my long history with the brand, the response was basically: no repair, no paid service, no goodwill solution — just buy another pair.
I now have five pairs of Sennheiser earbuds sitting around as expensive decorations, and honestly, that experience has changed my view of the brand completely.
Amazing sound, unfortunately matched by a very disappointing customer experience. After years of choosing and recommending Sennheiser, this is a hard lesson to forget. I will no longer recommend Sennheiser to anyone.
I've had the 3 and the 4 and runned/trained a lot. All broke down sadly due to shocks because of running over time. Today I received the 5, hopefully they will last longer

the replaceble battery is absolute amazing for long time users I had the 4 lost it one evening on the way to home then since then been using the Technics EAH-AZ100 but the True Wireless 5 is instant buy for me like being able to change battery for everything as long as drivers are as good as on the 4 that's a long term product that can last years
what kind of batteries does it use. this would be a good point to buy but then depends on how easily those batteries are available

I still have my Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 wired ear buds and they still sound amazing to this day
As much as I want to buy these right now I'm gonna wait. My last two pairs of Momentums died on me. One earbud stopped working with each pair. Their sound was incredible though. I'll have to keep an ear out (no pun intended) for complaints before I buy.
I really olve the brand, I have the MTW2, 3, and 4. My experience with the 4’s left a lot to be desired because of the case and charging issues. They are dead in just under 18 months. Have them on my Amazon cart but I am little hesitant.
Connection issues with your phone right there in your pocket is pretty big thumbs down.
