During the 1960's I was sent to secular, summer camps that were lovely, without indoctrination. True to white American (dominant group) tradition the fifty foot, prone position, 22 short, rifle range was among activities; equestrianism, swimming, archery, various ball games sports, nature hikes, camping in the woods, and other activities. We looked up to our cabin councilors, older teens, reading to us in our cabin, older councilors taught skills of the above mentioned. There was a Jewish twelve-year-old at a summer camp in Pennsylvania. He was fat and lived in our cabin. I don't know what it was, but the kids jeered him for whatever, like staying in the cabin, and not running with all of us, down the grassy hill, naked, in the cool dark at night, to the cold, mountain spring-water, outdoor showers. And then running up the hill to our towels and pajamas in the cabin. One time, the Jewish boy and I were by ourselves at the camp lodge building, he mentioned the movie, Exodus, and how [inspirational (paraphrasing)], and then he said to me, out of the blue, "Do you know what it means to hate (?)… I mean, to really hate"? I do not claim that I was smart, then, but I replied, "You have been taught that," which gave him pause, and he was quiet, then. The kids continued being mean to him. The old councilors told us he was getting "down" and had stopped eating. The kids stopped teasing. Nonetheless, shortly after, "Frumkin the pumpkin" was evacuated by his parents.

Anyone who knows anything about Israel knows that pretty much every Israeli goes into the army because it is such a tiny country, and because of needing to defend against all the initiated violence by Arabs since the 1920s – Hebron massacre of 1929, Arab revolts of the late 1930s, 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 wars, bus bombings, suicide bombings, flights being hijacked (i.e Entebbe), Munich Olympics, balloon bombings, riots, knifings, car rammings, thousands of rockets getting shot into Israel, massacres, and after LEAVING Gaza, 350 miles of tunnels being built to smuggle weapons and set up for after a massacre like the one on Oct 7 with 1200 killed, 250 kidnapped and held for years, etc. And of course you leave out that every attempt to offer a Palestinian state in addition to the British mandate having been split in the early 1920s in the form of Jordan, has been rejected over and over. *********And what happens at ANY groups' gatherings when they teach their children about their values and traditions whether they are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, etc? Of course they will celebrate their rituals, history, values and philosophies. So then EVERYONE is engaging in sinister indoctrination.
