  1. Too much use of color pink. It's causing high amount of red light spectrum reflectivity. It tricks scanners optical system leading to readability and authentication failures. Document scanners use red light illumination or red sensitive imagining to capture data.

  2. That means they are NOT US Citizens. They are just permanent residents here… They are not illegally here but they are just a legal resident here in Hawai’i. And that same scan should shows when voting. Oh well lol

  3. If you don't travel much your license doesn't get scanned very much at government agencies except to vote, only when buying drugs or going to a bank that you don't bank with. Even if you get pulled over the officer just calls in your numbers. So everybody better have their license checked because this could be one of Tramp's sneaky ways of cluttering the voting especially since we are a blue state. The state better investigate this quickly. Thank you!

  4. Omg ! Mine does not work either! Especially for take picture of it for federal government SSDI for GameStop for nothing! Fails every-time! What can I do?

  5. It has nothing to do with the design. I have the old design, issued last year and it fails at the ID scanner. Its the barcode. Nothing to do with the design. Same reason I can’t add it to my wallet as a digital ID. How do these people who work for our state not know how to test a product before they release it to the public. 😒

  6. People need to start complaing about the new licenses so they can stop using the excuse no one is complaining.
Once again the stae fails and doesn't want to admit it.

  7. And it’s not just the NEW IDs! My Hawaii REAL ID driver’s license was issued in 2022, and it still only scans about half the time at most airports — INCLUDING KAUAI! I constantly end up wasting time at TSA because of it.

The last time this happened was in Seattle. I spent almost an hour trying to get it sorted out. If a supervisor hadn’t finally stepped in and told the TSA officer, “Oh, it’s a Hawaii driver’s license — we have problems with those all the time,” I might have missed my flight.

This is a serious problem. We’re paying for a government-issued ID that doesn’t even reliably work with the government’s own systems.
