It’s the series that started it all and inspired a whole new generation of artists and animators. (And made Mecha Sonic a total badass).
Even though this iteration of the series has been discontinued in favor of the SMBZ reboot. I cannot ignore the impact it has had on both me and the viewers who grew up watching it. As a way to send it off properly, the entire 8 episode run will be uploaded onto my channel in Ultra HD and Dolby support for everyone’s viewing and listening pleasure. Unfortunately due to the original aspect ratio that I created the series in, you won’t be able to see it in 16:9. But, it’s better than nothing.
Many thanks to Alen Alic and TruExtent for helping with compiling and rendering this marathon run of my original series. This wouldn’t have been possible without their help:
On a side note. Production of episode 2 for the reboot series is going smoothly. Please give me a follow on my Twitter account and I’ll try to post updates as frequently as I can.
Thank you so much for your continued support. Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of Super Mario Bros. Z!

To this day i think about if we would’ve had the complete series if mark didnt try to make money off it. Though given mark’s mental struggles i wish he’d swallow his pride and let the fans help him develop the reboot, there are so many fans who would be willing to help him and even voice act for him me included
Joy kite thats to giant of the life opissite
Just chaos emerald
Even if shadow has been VERY irritating the entire series, i agree on the fact focusing on the last 2 emeralds is more important than saving Peach
instead of rebooting and again stopping, but this time after two episodes, i wish that energy was put into a final episode to wrap up this original series. still an epic series but, ya know what i mean?
Zuiomells
I just noticed that Mario was like almost the only one who hit semi super mecha sonic pretty good
With all these games getting modded today we might actually be able to see this
MAMA MIA ITS THA MECHA SONIC, TAAAAAAAAAAAA
SPOILER WARNING
3:19:16 damn Mario fuckin died
14:57 kitkat kitkat kitkat kitkat kitkat kitkat kitkat

Honestly this series had amazing use of old music and game sound effects that fit the style
Anyone else remember watching this on Newgrounds?
1:06:39 ain't never seen mario move like this 😭
38:17 My first tought when starting the series was "why didn't Tails and Knuckles join Sonic and shadow, are they making a plan back on Mobius" well thats a sad answer
1:54:00 Where i left off brb😊
Its ending 😢
If you think about it, the chaos emeralds being sent to ONLY the mushroom kingdom was actually a REALLY lucky chance.
If the emeralds were sent to different kingdoms throughout Mario’s world (like for example, idk maybe a chaos emerald would’ve landed in New Donk City or Sarasaland), Mecha Sonic probably would have had a better chance of winning, since the heroes would’ve taken a longer time getting the emeralds from different kingdoms.
Why is being sonic in smbz sucks: mubois is a rotten wasteland
Destroyed by mecha sonic aka metal sonic.
13:09 did somebody else tought he was going to turn into parappa the rapper
Cmon bro these episodes were good why the reboot? Biggest cliffhanger of the series.
Can we take a moment and enjoy the fact Goombella called Mecha Sonic a bucket of Shit? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shadow zero hesitation when it comes to throwing hands with Super Mecha Sonic.
Unreasonably good fight choreography.
Sheesh, there's so many moments that hit in this.
How Mark let so many moments hang so you can "feel" what's happening instead of always cutting quickly to the next part.
3:13:42 epic
2:11:32 peak
If I was a millionaire I’d pay this man to finish this series
Back in the day as a id this was like the cooling fucking thing in the world and I wanted more, but now it just isn't the kind of content that's as unique.
Obviously a great relic of the past though. Never even ended up watching more than the first few parts.
1:37:08 shadow what was that for?
Im glad I can always come back to a piece of my childhood
I imagine Firey being in this series and if he was my parody au he would beat them up in one single second
This was my childhood 😭
Mecha Sonic were farming insanely amount of aura
1:34:42 NINTENDO, SEGA, LLAMEN A DIOS 💀
I'll like to think that if we lived in a universe where this DID have another episode, the plot twist saving would be thanks to Fire Sonic and the 1-Up he got here. 3:13:47
We'll wait until the end of time if we must. We haven't given up on you Alvin.
3:13:10 I like how they just start using Luigi as a hammer 😂😂😂
.
I watched this when I was 8 and now this copy of street fighter Power Ranger and dragon bsllz
"Just this once, Mecha Sonic?"
"Just this once, Sonic."

1:45:33 For those unaware, this is a photo of a nuclear bomb test being done by the US Military on "Enewatak Atoll", near the Marshall Islands. There is an entire history of the US deliberately using the islands as a testing ground for nuclear weapons and indiscriminate nuclear bomb dropping, in which to this day the local people still fight for international recognition of. You can look up the information if you want to.
Obviously this video was posted years ago, and maybe the maker of these animations did not know the origin, but in hindsight, it should still be mentioned.
11:57 was this the cheering sound from that game Drive Ahead?? What a legend
