I wake up after one of the coldest nights I’ve ever spent outdoors. The thermometer shows -39°C (-38°F), and before I can continue north, the motorcycle needs time and patience to come back to life.
From there, I cross into Norway, where I spend another night above the tree line. After digging out my campsite in the snow, I’m rewarded with a clear Arctic sky and the northern lights dancing overhead.
This is the third episode of my five-part solo winter motorcycle adventure through Scandinavia, filmed alongside a cinematic documentary of the same journey.

Pretty darn cold at minus 40 C & F. This looks great compared to how warm it has ben here of late. Plus 40C nearly every day. Himy is a champ bike. Enjoyed the ride. About as good a condition as you could ask for. Northern lights were great. We have had them at times the last few years down south of me in the middle of USA. Saw them a lot in Alaska, green lightning. Look forward to the next vid. It has been a rollercoaster with no brakes. Next time. Nomad Mountain Man
Being from North Central Nebraska, I was without a pickup or car for a couple of winter seasons. I had my Harley Davidson FLH, with a couple of snow storms I had to get through. Your video or journey is off the charts. Surviving these conditions is not human.
